Artisans - 5 Minutes Freewrite
5 Minutes Freewrite
Prompt: artisans
In India, the state of folk artisans is not so encouraging. During the British colonial rule, they were exploited. As a result of industrialization when cheap British imported goods started flooding the native markets, the indigenous artisans couldn't sell their own produce thus forcing them to live from hand to mouth.
After independence, the Govt. undertook many schemes for revival of traditional art and art produce.
At present, e-commerce giants like Amazon, Flipkart have tied up with several state governments to help market the produce of local artisans in the national and international platform.
We can’t afford to lose our culture and heritage and these are noteworthy steps being taken in this regard. Work is worship.

This is my first attempt at freewriting ever. I have to say this is the most interesting writing drill I have ever experienced. Let me know if I missed anything. Thank You.

Interesting you say you cannot afford losing your culture and heritage because this is what happens worldwide. Every country that accepts foreigners loses his culture, every traveller loses his own culture and changes. If you export and import you influence the world, people worldwide. McDonals, pizza, french fries, clothes and smartphones you name it.
A country will only not lose it's culture if it stops importing, doesn't accept foreign industries and the entire nation can only buy what the country produces and people make. To be honest I miss this expertise, the own tiles and much more but how many people are still willing to buy it if the neighbour's grass looks greener?
The Britishers occupied India as their colony. They weren't accepted or invited. Industrial Revolution meant produced goods had to be sold to the colonies. They got richer, consequently that was a slap on local businesses.
Situation is much better now. 😊
Yeah spot on.
Thank You.
I understand no one invites anyone to be their boss. The colony time is over so it's good to be independent in every way and do it your way. 👍
