Hello steemian friends wherever you are, meet again with me @iqbal-pasee, one of the atomians member in Indonesia.

On this occasion I will discuss about the factors that cause refractive errors.

One of them is the eyeball size factor, the size of the eyeball of a newborn baby ranges from sixteen to seventeen millimeters, during the growth period the size of the eyeball will increase so that it reaches the average size of the human eyeball, which is twenty-four millimeters.

In an eyeball that is too long, light is focused in front of the retina so that the patient cannot see objects clearly, otherwise the light entering the eyeball that is too short will be focused behind the retina so that the patient cannot see close objects clearly.

Therefore, refractive errors can develop especially during growth, refractive errors will be relatively stable when a person reaches the age of eighteen to twenty years.

Another factor that causes refractive errors is the shape of the cornea, the shape of the cornea of the eye that is not perfectly round causes the patient to be unable to see objects clearly at any distance.

There is one particular condition that is not a refractive error, in which the eye lens stiffness appears when a person reaches the age of forty years, the eye lens becomes stiff so that a person will have trouble seeing up close and have trouble reading.

"Remember prevention is much better than cure"

So much information from me about the factors that cause refractive errors, hopefully it will be useful and look forward to the next tips in my post.

Thank you for dropping by at my post. Until we meet again in my next post.
