I chose this puzzle to illustrate the creativity that can be had when faced with a case of "desperado" as a tactical motif. White threatens to promote imminently and to check in the process, which would be decisive if it happened, so Black must roll their last dice to set a trap, either queening before or setting a checkmate net. Which of the options is the most viable? How could you "deliver" the desperation to White?

Escogí este problema para ilustrar la creatividad que se puede llegar a tener ante un caso de "desesperado" como tema táctico. Las blancas amenazan con coronar inminentemente y dando un jaque en el proceso, lo cual sería decisivo de ocurrir, por lo que las negras deben quemar sus últimos cartuchos en tender alguna trampa, bien sea coronar antes o tender una red de mate. ¿Cuál de las opciones es la más viable? ¿Cómo podrías "entregarle" la desesperación al blanco?
