Spicy Piyaju Recipe || Entry for Cooking Contest Week#05
In our country we usually prefer two times for tiffin, one noon and two evenings. In these two times we try to make our time more enjoyable by eating different types of food. Also, if I am in the office, I try to eat spicy food to eliminate physical weakness or weakness. This applies to me, because many people are exceptions to this.
Although the people of our country prefer to eat fried national street food at these two times. And among these, most of the people like, puri, singara, Piyaju, samocha, jhal muri etc. Although these are not always beneficial for our body, they sometimes cause harm to us.
However, as the coking experience contest in the Steemit City Community by @sabbirrr continues, today I will share with you a recipe of my own taste to participate in this contest. The link of the contest is given below.
The recipe that I will share today is called Piyaju in our native language. In fact, onion is one of the main ingredients in its making, hence it is called Piyaju in Bengali.
Ingredients-
Onions,
Khesari dal
Turmeric powder
Coriander leaves
Green pepper
Salt and
Oil.
Preparation method-
Step-1
First we take a pot of khesari dal and soak them in water for a few hours. So that these are soft. However, we usually soak them in water for 2-5 hours. However, if the amount is high, it has to be kept wet for a long time. Then you have to make a paste of these.
Step-2
Onion, green chillies and coriander leaves should be finely sliced. Then I will take them in a container so that I can make a beautiful mixer of all the ingredients with the paste made of khesari dal. Some water can be used here if required.
Step-3
Then we put a pan in the oven and heat it with some oil in between. Since we will fry them in deep oil, we have to take a little more oil so that we can fry better.
Step-4
Once the oil in the pan is hot, I will take some of those pastes by hand and flatten them and fry them in the oil of the pan. Keep putting many in the pan like this and wait a while.
Final Step
Fry them in hot oil in a pan till they turn brown. When they turn brown, we have to take them down and take another pot. Then you can taste them hot, you can eat any sauce with them to enhance the taste.
Thanks all for visiting my cooking experience.
