Sitting in the heart of Uyo, it's a national park of Akwa Ibom State. This national park is the Unity Park. The location of this park is convenient because everyone in the Metropolis of Uyo can easily locate it. The park host a museum which contains the history of Akwa Ibom in terms of leadership, arts and crafts, social life, etc. Currently, the park is the domain of Ibom

The Unity park is loved by many because of the following reasons. First, it's the easy location of the place. Anyone within the Uyo Metropolis can easily spot the place with ease. The next reason is the serenity and natural environment of the place.
It is rare to find a place with large landmass consisting of natural things and environment. But, in Unity Park, the air is serene and the environment is green with life. Trees, grasses and even bamboos grows there in large quantities. This and many more contribute to why I live Unity Park.

The first facility anyone can easily spot out is the Ibom Museum. It is seated in the heart of the park. In the museum, we find out about the origin and heritage of Uyo and Akwa Ibom State at large. It contains the names of leaders and top contributors to the success of the state. It also contain old artefacts, arts and crafts of the people. Another facility is the ever green open field. The open field is used for events, occasions and other activities. It also host weekend fitness exercise by different organizations.

About the entry of the park, it's totally free. On the event of Ibom Christmas Village, people can enter there free of charge but Car owners pay a token of #200 which is approximately 1 steem. The reason of the token given is for safeguarding of the vehicle. The museum is free to check out. Entertainment isn't free, then you pay for your foods, snacks and drinks.

Unity park isn't just a fancy park but it's a place where you can relax your mind thereby gaining peace of mind. This is possible by the natural and positive air moving freely there. Vegetation and the water body there is really relaxing. The museum is also another world of enlightenment. So, i strongly recommend Unity Park to visitors, tourists and lovers of good thing.

The Unity park is a recommendable site to foster unity and promote tourism in the state. I feel the government are not using it to its full potential.

I can remember being to Christmas village last year. A lot has really changed lately. Seems they are trying to curtail expenses. When I first heard the fee was #200 naira, I made my calculations and saw that they would make over a million naira before 1st
