Second Steem Solar in Nigeria finally launched ! [100%]

May 2nd, 2023 will always remain a memorable day in the minds of the Students and Staff of Government Technical Collage, Uyo - Nigeria and in the minds of Steemians

A project which seemed like a pipe dream, unrealistic, far-fetched or even as some called it a rug-pulled project, is now a "success story", a "dream come true", a "triumph" indeed after five months of donations and support from few users.

Aim:

The Solar Steem project aimed to promote the steemit platform in the local community, improve the quality of learning in secondary schools as well as improve the overall quality of life.

Objectives:

The objectives of the project were to raise funds to support solar installation in a secondary school in Nigeria and to recognize the source of the contribution of donors and supporters which is the steemit platform. Steem can make life better.

The event was graced by over 250 guests, and various outstanding Steemians were present to grace the event. Students numbered about 200 in attendance, the Nigerian Police Force, the Principal, the Vice Principal, and teachers were all present. Notable attendees were:

Honourable Godwin Sunday Udom: Honourable Udom is the Executive Chairman, of the Akwa Ibom State Technical Schools Board. He was sent by our State Governor His Excellency Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as a representative from the Governor’s office.

He commissioned the project, and it was a privilege to meet him physically for the first time.

All my life, I have been seeing this man on the TV and newspaper but yesterday because of charity we had a real handshake and we also had tête-à-tête without his security stopping me. I am invited to the Governor's office by next week.

He heard about steemit for the first time and he was impressed. It looks like something good and huge might happen soon on the steemit platform from Africa. Like some people use to say..."let's see how it goes".

The Principal: Mr Eden Asuquo Udosen has been in service for many years with a lot of experience. He is a strong disciplinarian and a man of good heart.
