Hopefully everything is doing fine, just be your self and keep positive vibes around you. This is me @sailawana from Indonesia. Today I want to take a part at the contest which is held by @klen.civil with them traditional food. I feel so excited to join at the contest.

I will present a review about traditional Acehnese cakes which is the area where I live. In Aceh, Indonesia, maseukat cakes have their own specialties. Because this cake is only served at certain moments. Usually this cake is made as a cake to deliver a proposal or engagement event.

This maseukat cake is also what the bride's entourage brings when downloading in-laws to the groom's family or in Acehnese it is called *** tueng dara baro*** (welcoming the bride). Maseukat cake is the main cake that must be in the delivery.

In addition, this maseukat cake is not always available and is only served at special moment celebrations such as welcoming guests and at the moment of Eid (Eid) only.

Another specialty of this maseukat cake is the appearance of a beautiful and beautiful cake with flower carvings or carvings of Acehnese door motifs.
is a typical symbol of the Aceh region. The carvings on the cake show the impression of luxury and majesty.

Maseukat cakes are usually yellow or white in color. The white color comes from the color of the flour used as the main ingredient of the cake, while the yellow color comes from the pineapple which is also used as an ingredient in maseukat cakes. And it turns out that for the people of Aceh the two colors that appear on the display of the maseukat cake have their own meaning, namely the yellow and white colors show the softness and clarity of the hearts of the Acehnese people in welcoming guests and glorifying guests.

Because in the life of the Acehnese, it has become a custom that the Acehnese are very friendly to guests. The people of Aceh are also very respectful of their guests through the presentation of food and preferential treatment to guests.

This maseukat cake is also known as pineapple dodol, because its texture is similar to dodol, which is sticky and tastes sweet and legit at the same time. And because in the process of making the maseukat cake using pineapple.

The composition of the ingredients used for the manufacture of maseukat cakes include:

The process of making this maseukat cake takes a long time, and requires patience and patience for the maker. Especially when kneading the cake dough until it's cooked, it takes extra energy. So that not everyone is willing and able to make this maseukat cake. Moreover, after making this cake, it is usually given another decoration on the surface. This ornament in the form of carving also requires skill and dexterity.

So it is only natural that the price in the market is quite expensive. For 1 small tray the price of maseukat is around Rp. 150,000 - Rp. 200,000 or the equivalent of 25 STEEM- 33.3 STEEM. As for the size of the large tray, the price of the maseukat cake is Rp. 250,000 - Rp. 300,000 when converted to STEEM is equivalent to 41.6 STEEM - 50 STEEM.
