There is probably no place in the world where natural disasters do not occur However, the level of natural calamities varies from place to place In some places it occurs in high amount and in some places it occurs in very low amount. It mainly depends on the weather of the place. Natural calamities often occur with climate change. Environment is changing due to various reasons due to which various types of natural calamities are increasing.

I live in Kushtia district in Khulna division of Bangladesh. Our district is the highest district in Bangladesh. Due to this, various types of natural calamities are less in this district. Major disasters do not happen here very often. It's a good day in this place. We get mostly rain and drought here. Besides, no major natural calamities occur here. However, our surrounding districts are hit by major natural disasters. Flooding occurs in our area mainly due to rain That is a big problem. It causes various problems in our life system. Many times it is seen that due to rain for several hours, roads, paths, schools and colleges are flooded with rain water.

This waterlogging causes many problems No effective steps can be taken to solve this problem in our area For which people suffer more. However, at present, the municipality has started taking various measures.

Effects of this flooding on people

Most of the time rain or drought occurs in our area. First let's talk about flooding. When it rains for several days in a row, water accumulates in various places. Because of which problems arise in all activities including the movement of people. Many times water seeps into schools and colleges. Especially in our Kushtia Polytechnic Institute, even if it rains for some time, the water freezes. The entire campus is full of water. The dirt roads in the area become muddy. This causes difficulty in walking on the road If it rains for a long time, the poor, working people have work problems, they cannot go out and work in the rain. As a result of which they have to spend days on starvation or half-diet That is a big problem for us.

Besides, no big problem is seen here. Only occasional heavy rainfall and a few days of drought may occur. Also, no major problems such as floods, storms, river erosion have yet occurred in our area. As a result, the lower class suffer more. Those who have high wealth do not have any such problem.

I think we are mainly responsible for creating all these problems. Because, we are polluting the environment by our activities, thereby destroying the balance of the environment. Due to which various types of natural disasters are occurring. I hope we can get out of this problem if we can stop the environmental pollution. Heavy rainfall causes problems like soil erosion.

There is no forecast from the government for all these calamities Because, it does not cause any major problems However, various mass media tell the news when and where and how much rain can occur. Seeing that we take all kinds of precautionary preparations. Rains cause huge damage to cropland and crops Farmers face various problems in this.

What we should do during different calamities-

To solve any kind of problem we should take proper steps During these calamities we need to be careful, take care of the little ones, stock up on dry food, provide fresh water, build shelters, make arrangements to deal with flooding quickly. We have to take all these steps first. Also, all the reasons that are causing this natural calamity should be identified and cured. Helping others with food, clothing.
