Each day millions around the world celebrate something.
If it is not a birthday it might be an anniversary or maybe it is something wacky like “National Bubble Bath Day”.
We like to celebrate, full stop!
It makes us happy when we celebrate, we reinforce something which means a lot to us, and it brings us together with our loved ones and even strangers. These days we even celebrate creating awareness and fundraising. If there is a good reason, we celebrate!
We even celebrate on Steemit. What is your reason for celebrations on Steemit?

YES on all of the above. Let’s celebrate!
I’m sure you often hear on the radio and see on television how people globally celebrate specific days. Do you know the difference between “International Days”, “World Days”, and “National Days”?
The explanation of these three days is actually quite simple.
International Days
International Day celebrations are set days as determined by the United Nations (UN). For those who don’t know the UN is a universal global organization, whose main function is to maintain peace and harmony between countries and protection of human rights and equality on a healthy Mother Earth. A place where countries can come together to discuss problems and find solutions.
International Days are declared by UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc. which are specialized agencies of the UN. One or more of the Member States (countries) can also propose a specific day. The General Assembly then decides if it is worth it to celebrate this day and if it is accepted it is put in place with a resolution.
International days are occasions to educate the general public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems, and to celebrate and reinforce achievements of humanity. United Nations

Then there are national days on which various cultures and other topics are celebrated for instance “Mother’s Day”. It might also be that this day is celebrated by different countries on different days.

International Podcast Day

Celebrate this day by creating your own podcast or donating to your favorite producer. @ubongudofot
If you like olive oil today is the day to show your love for it. Not only is olive oil healthy but it also increases the shelf life of what you bake.
Did you know that it takes anything between 3 to 12 years to harvest olives and that olives trees can live for 300 to 600 years?
National chewing gum day
Flavor and color don’t matter today. What matters is that you “chew”.
Did you know that chewing gum contains less gum base than bubble gum and that then also the reason why you cannot blow big bubbles with it?
Orange Shirt Day
Today you can join Canada by wearing an orange shirt supporting “Every child matters” no matter, the race, culture, and religion.
In my eyes, we should be wearing orange shirts every day.
Pet Tricks Day
Celebrate this day with your pet today by teaching him a trick, one of the greatest joys of a pet lover.
The most common trick taught to a dog is the shaking of a paw and a high five to a cat.
And of course, there is that one day celebrated by billions around the world today, payday!
Let’s celebrate!
