"Save The Earth"- Making proper arrangements for disposal of waste.

My friend call me and ask whether we can meet up at the railway to take or snap some pictures, I was already on my way to work but when he called I had to go back to meet him at the railway.

We snapped some pictures, the views of the railway and railway station but along the line, something cut my attention, so I immediately took the picture of it.

That particular spot is filled with plastic bottles water and plastic minerals. Here I'm Lagos State, there's some particular set of people we normally refer to as "mallam." They will go every crooked and corner in search of plastic bottles, they'll now sell it to company who recycled it to plastic bucket and other plastic product.

They did a good job, on other word they contributed in saving the earth by recycling the plastic waste product to something valuable.But at the same time, the environment is different from the activities they do because the place looks so dirty. Genesis 1:31 started that after God creating the universe, the earth, he looks at the beautiful Earth he creating and behold, it was very good. Is it the same thing today? why do we in the first place needs to save the earth?

Some of the reasons why we need to save our Earth is that:

♦️Climate change: The effects of climate change, like rising sea levels, more frequent extreme weather events, and droughts, are already causing devastation in many parts of the world.

♦️Biodiversity loss: Many species of plants and animals are at risk of extinction due to habitat destruction, climate change, and pollution.

♦️ Human health: Pollution and climate change are affecting human health in numerous ways, from air pollution causing respiratory problems to rising temperatures causing heat-related illnesses.

There are some certain things I can do to contribute in saving our Earth such as:

♦️ Reducing my energy consumption: Turning off lights and appliances when not in use, using energy-efficient appliances, and unplug electronics when they're not in use.

♦️Reduce water consumption in a way like taking shorter showers, turning off the water when you're brushing your teeth, and only run the dishwasher or washing machine when you have a full load.

♦️ Reducing your waste: Recycle, compost, and try to buy products with less packaging.

How I contributed in saving the Earth

As a superhero, I want to contribute in saving my Earth and I did that my cleaning my environment, proper disposal of refuse. There are some waste that even if it stay for a year, it will not decompost, it's what we know as degradable waste. Common example is nylon bags, it's very common as people can throw it anywhere because thinking of the effects to the earth.

I weed, sleep and pack all the nylon into one sack to dispose it when the waste vehicle arrived. After cleaning, my environment looks clean and neat.

I listed some of the reason why the earth needs to be save, am not doing this because of the contest. If I become a superhero because of the contest, I can only get a certain amount of money but what about my health, what about the pollution, what about the climate change and animals? Am doing this to create an awareness that in any way we can, if we put our hand together, we can be able to save our Earth.

When it's comes to cleanliness and pollution, Lagos State Government are on their best, for example, In Lagos State, every Thursday is an environmental sanitation all over the whole state. This day is to ensure that all the citizen or Lagosian comply and tiny up their surrounding, gutters, proper disposal of waste bin. I give Lagos State 10/10 for that. They also make sure that those Private company who are fond of polluting the air is far from where people lives.

100 percent, everyday, there's a lawma waste vehicle all over the state so that people can properly dispose their waste bin.

There some part in Lagos that , you can't not drop even a sachet of pure water on the road because to keep the environment clean and tidy, waste or refused must be properly dispose.
