Actually people always face such situations. People always prefer their quick or easy tasks. But because that work was finished so quickly, why did he himself feel regret again later? Hard working people are hard to find in today's society. I have faced many such incidents in my life, one of them is when I was in college I didn't give much importance to simple maths.

I thought it was very easy, no need to read or understand it. But it didn't come to mind during the exam, because it was erased from my brain. For this I needed extra classes to understand all the other hard numbers. So if I had kept the simple in mind and proceeded, I wouldn't have had to learn so hard. But later I used to get the number in my brain in extra class.

People don't understand instant success. It is actually like buying a certificate with money without studying. People misrepresent their lives for instant happiness. Achieving success through wrongdoing or money is followed by humiliation.
