My mum loves her stuffs exclusive to her, including her bathroom. One day, while she was away, I decided to use her bathroom. Sadly, the stainless hanger which is usually fastened with a nail to the wall pulled out.

Ouch! That was a mistake and I desperately wanted to fix that. Teenagers are one set of people very very prone to making mistakes. Still, it's never unusual to want to fix your mistakes.

So let's think about this; How do you respond when you realise your mistakes.

Ofcourse being afraid of the consequences is not out of place and it could make you want to hide it from others especially the person you may hurt.

Many times, we all feel bad about our mistakes and look for ways to mend them.

But can you truly mend them? And how can you do so.

To answer that, this article will list useful/validated steps to mend your broken stitches.
Let's get started, shall we?

  • The mistake

You can't mend what's not broken nor can you mend where you do not know.
First, you need to know and identify your mistake.

Was it a bathroom hanger you broke like me? Or the expensive flower vase in the sitting room.

It may have probably been misplacing a household item.

Whatever it may be identifying and realising your mistake will give you an edge to your stitches.

  • Apologize

Your action may have offended others, "I am really sorry, I never intended to wrong you" or "My sincere apologies, losing your belonging was really a mistake".

This simple but honest phrases can go a long way in softening hearts and publicly showing how mistaken your actions were.

  • Take responsibility

It doesn't stop at knowing your mistakes or making apologies.
You may know and not accept it, its bad❌❌ stopet.

Why should you take responsibilities;

  1. Taking responsibility for your mistake will show you are a responsible.
  2. Make efforts to find the item you misplaced. It shows how genuine your apology is.
  3. Taking responsibilityis the right thing to do, will make it easier for you to be forgiven, it will please God and even unlookers too

Sometimes, insteas of planning an escapade to go scout free, you could tell about your mistake, you ain't shooting yourself on the foot. You are just taking responsibility and don't forget to spologise and let only kind words escape your mouth.

  • Face the consequence:

You might still have to face consequences for your actions without complain. I remember losing my mums umbrella, though the consequence was not by punishment from mum.

Yes, she was angry and even told my sisters about it, but I faced the consequence of being trashed by the hot sun and staying home on rainy days.
Yup, I never complained. Because it was my mistake.

  • Learn from your mistakes:

Sometimes. You may feel the urge to pretend and pray no one uncovers your misdeed. That too shouldn't be acceptable🚫. After making sure to have taken the steps above. You have to watch your steps never to trail the same path. Learn from it by avoiding other of such instances and never go back to doing such it. Take necessary precautions and safety steps then trust me you just completed the last stitch.

Don't over grief your mistake, we're humans right? And so we are imperfect, not go overly sober or get too inquisitive it won't, No it doesn't help.

Having had that for the week, next week is definitely what you wouldn't want to miss.spoiler alert⛔; its peer pressure for next week
You ready for it? Grab your helmet, its not gonna be the usual ride. See ya!
