Good day to all steemit friends. I'm delighted to hear this day, and I would love to extend greetings to @irawandedy for this beautiful contest that aims to encourage participating in activities that will help reduce or tackle the global warming that has already found a place in today's world.

What have you done to save the earth

I love my environment with the whole of myself because it is my dwelling place on earth. Apart from it, I have no other place to reside. As such I see it as a duty on me to do all I could to keep it healthy. One thing that we all need to understand is, whatever that affects the environment, affects us all. That's to say, our well-being depend on the well-being of our environment.

In my little way, I try as much as possible to clear the bushes in my environment so that I can be free from dangerous animals and other diseases that come with a dirty environment. My effort did not stop there, as I also swept the waste materials to keep the environment healthy. Apart from that, I take part in reducing the carbon that is being emitted into the atmosphere by using bicycles to transport myself to places within my locality.

How do you do it

As you can see from the pictures, I often use a cutlass to reduce the grass. As for the waste materials, I make use of either reg or broom, depending on the size or nature of the dirt. Talking about reducing the amount of carbon that's being emitted into the atmosphere, it is clear to us all that bicycles don't emit smoke. As such, it is good to make use of it within the locality instead of those that emit carbon.

The pictures are enough to speak for themselves. As you can see, I'm using reg to gather all the waste materials together. You also can see me on my bicycle and also, I'm using a cutlass to clear bushes

What is the form of attention from the government and the community around you?

In as much as some individuals are playing a role in preventing global warming, the government are also playing its part. Three months ago, the Governor of Taraba State, Nigeria, gave an order that any illegal cutting down of trees in the forest should be stopped with immediate effect.

Also, the government has provided a dustbin where all dirt can be poured. At the end of every week, the Ministry of Environment and Sanitation comes with a truck to park them. The government has also employed 5000 workers to sweep all government streets every morning. As such, I can testify that the government is doing its best to maintain the environment.
