Greetings everyone hope you are doing well today. I'm here to participate in the Contest Review Tools Account Recovery Steemworld.org Session 8th organized by @amryksr. Steemworld.org is a very helpful steemit website created by @steemchiller to help steemit users manage their accounts and a review was done in Achievement 5 task 1.

So for account recovery(getting back your lost account), we type and search steemworld.org and click on account recovery on the home page. Click on it to open another page.

The next page that opens has a first title Request Account Recovery there are two spaces to be filled which is the username of the account you want to recover and a new public owner key which can generated using the Key generator tool tool` highlighted in pink so click on it.

From there you are taken to the steem Key Generator page where you can input your username and then click on generate random and bother public and private keys will be generated then now click on Export Public Keys. Copy the public owner key to your clipboard and return to the Request account recovery page.

Enter your username and then enter the new public owner key you just copied earlier and click Request recovery

You can see your account recovery request under this tool. All you need to do is input your username then click on Load Recovery Request. Also you will have to wait for at least 1 hour after submitting your request for account recovery before changing your master password. To do that click on change password tool tool` and you'll arrive at the next page.

On the Change Steem Master Password page you'll have to input your account username, input a password you believe is strong enough and you'll not forget or just click on Generate Keyand a new master password alongside private and public keys will be generated,copy the new master password and keep, then finally click on change password.

Owner Key History Tool

Here, you can view your owner key history since you need the recent public owner key to confirm the account recovery. So in case you forgot it you can view it here to copy and use.
