INTRODUCTION

I don't think there is anyone that has never had as much a headache, or a pain in any part of their body in the cause of their life. As humans, we may fall sick for various reasons. Many people today do not care much about their health while they go about their day-to-day activities.

In this article i will be focusing on the significance of staying healthy and some familiar health tips that can keep us healthy.


WHY WE NEED TO STAY HEALTHY

Many persons usually tend to give more time and focus to their various works with which they make money and so give less attention to their health. But we have to understand that if we are not healthy enough we will not be able to carry out those activities that give us money, hence, the saying, "Health is Wealth". Health is the foundation for every other activities of our lives. We have to be in a good state of health before we can do anything we want to do.

In taking care of our health, we should remember that our mental health also matters. Our mind is a very great asset hence, we shouldn't joke with it.

In our world today, many people spend time more of their time on social media, take in junk food, and spend the rest of their time working, and have less time for their health. It is therefore very easy to find reasons why we are not able to invest in healthy activities like exercises. Research indicated that there is a rise in the number of persons admitted to hospitals for several ailments. It is time we take conscious steps to take care of our physical, cognitive and psychological fitness if we really want to live a healthy life. There is no amount of wealth that can be of any use if you are not physically and mentally healthy.


TIPS TO LIVING HEALTHY

  • Start your day right.
    Starting your day on a positive note is very important for the both our mental and physical health. Every morning when i wake up the first thing I do after praying is saying positive things to myself. Honestly speaking this has been of great benefit to me.

  • Watch what you eat
    As much as possible always try to reduce your consumption of foods containing fats and also packaged foods. Rather we should learn to add more of fruits and vegetables to our diets. Taking balanced diet is crucial to leaving a healthy life.

  • Always stay hydrated
    Water is necessary for several processes of the body. For this reason, health workers recommend that we take about 2 liters of water daily. Whenever we know we are going to a far place we should always carry a water bottle.

  • Having a good sleep.
    One way to maintain good health is to have a good sleep especially at night. Go to bed on time and wake up on time. There is a popular saying that says "early to bed, early to rise". Some people sleep late and then force themselves to wake up very early at night which is not very good for our health. Whenever you have a good night sleep you will find out that your mind and body seems to be very sound that day.

  • Go for regular medical check-up
    Have full body checkups frequently to keep your health in order. Doing this can also help you to detect an abnormality in your body early enough. Certain deadly diseases like cancer if detected early can be treated and cured.


CONCLUSION

There is no wealth without health. Good health is foundation for growth in every aspect of our lives. While we go about our daily activities we should learn to nurture and care for our body and mind.
