Let's take a look at the practices in some villages even during the modern days, a male child is often required to do the hard job at farms (nonmechanized farms) while the female would be left to do the minor shores back home.

Although, I am not generalizing my expression in the previous section because we have families that treat both genders equally but most family settings would allow a male child to do more, let's say 75%.
