WSP Official Report: Handover and Monitoring Organic Farming Program

Dear everyone, I wish to meet you cause I miss you all

Today, I managed to visit the farming site to check the progress after the hot season of almost a full month, which affected our organic farming program.

But, before I present you with the monitoring report of the program, I would like to give you a brief report about the handover progress that took place a month ago.

As previously stated, the WSP program will focus more on programs with low costs and maximum promotional effects. In the organic farming program this time WSP only supported Rp. 5,000,000 (Five million rupiah) in 3 stages of distribution.

The stages of disbursing funds for this program are as follows:

Stage I

Purchase of equipment needed for preparation in the form of; fence netting, polybags, work equipment, plant seeds, and work wages with the first disbursement of IDR 2,500,000. This first phase was distributed on March 9, 2023.

First stage fund disbursement

Stage II

Distribution of phase II funds of IDR 1,500,000 which was carried out on April 4, 2023, with the following allocation; Purchase of additional polybags, farming tools, fees for hauling soil and making fences, as well as additional seeds.

Second stage fund disbursement

The last stage of distribution remains and this final stage will be distributed after all the plants have been planted and the first monitoring is done. The monitoring is carried out today (Tuesday 2 May 2023). This monitoring is carried out to see the progress of the results of planting the seedlings. In accordance with the initial plan, namely 2000 Polybags for 3 main types of vegetable plants; Tomato, Red Chili, and Green Mustard.

Monitoring Report I

The first monitoring that was carried out on 2 May 2023 includes monitoring the number of seeds that have been planted and the number of seeds that have experienced development, additional needs that may be needed to complete this entire organic farming program.

The results seen in the field are quite satisfactory with the following details:

1. There are 2,300 polybags that have been planted with seeds and have been neatly arranged on the initiated land.
2. As many as 1,000 tomato plants in polybags have reached height variations between 20-80 cm
3. As many as 300 polybags of green mustard, which have been harvested 3 times with a total harvest of 48 kg with a selling price of IDR 3,250/kg
4. A total of 1000 red chilies (replacement) have been planted with a growth rate of 7-15 cm in height. This chili is a replacement for plants that have been planted before and withered and dry due to drought for 1 month.
5. There are 50 plants of early-stage experimental chili that have been produced and are ready to be harvested.

These 50 sticks are the first stage of planting with self-prepared seedlings. The results shown were very satisfactory with an estimated fruit of 300-500 gr/stem.
