Introduction

Hi friends, it's always beautiful and amazing having this opportunity to share ideas on the different topics given by the communities selected by the steemit team. Thanks to the steemit team and the Steem for better life community for bringing such an educative topic:If only. I will be sharing the above topic with the example of my experience and lessons I have learned. As you read through, I know you will learn from my content.

Life is most times full of regrets. The simple reason is that we take wrong decisions on the verge of anger and other external forces. The phrase if only comes after every wrong decision is been taken. Most times, we take advice from the wrong people and thereafter regret taking such decisions. I had most decision which has lured me into regrets and if only I know they would lead me to that, I wouldn't have acted that way.

If only I know It would lead to this

I have a younger sister named Jennifer. Jennifer seems to be too stubborn for my liking, she goes out at any time and comes home when she feels like, as an elder sister I advised and sat her down several times but she never changed to be that good person I want. The whole family sees her as the most stubborn person and she feels that was alright. I have anger and what anger has led me to deal with my sister was so dangerous.

What happened?

On a faithful day, I came back from a long-distance trip within the states, arriving home, I saw my 15years old sister fighting and quarreling with mum to the point of picking a wood to smash on mummy's back. The worst thing was that I came along with my fiance and other visitors, I was so touched and felt pushed to the wall that my younger could even kill our mother someday if no one is around. Immediately I cited when Jennifer was about to smash the wood on my mother, I picked a wood from nowhere and smash Jennifer on the hand she was raising to hit my mother.

She was rushed to the hospital and I am now spending a lot of money, if only I knew it would lead to this situation my sister is suffering now, I wouldn't have hit her that hard to the extent she fainted and was rushed to the hospital. Anger controlled me and I did what I did to save my mother from death.

Conclusion

In conclusion, sincerely we must learn to control ourselves in situations that seem uncontrollable. I was too hard on my sister because I was so angry seeing what she was about to do to our mother but I want to believe a little lesson has been learned from this content. Life is fill of regret but we can be more careful and take cautions.Thank you all and I look forward to your entries.

I specially invite @okere-blessing @josepha, and @lhorgic to also participate in this wonderful contest.

Thank you for reading...

I can relate dear. Maybe you could have averted that using another means but it was obvious that anger had the better part of you at that point.

We all have at some point made some mistakes which could have been avoided but then we equally learnt from our experiences.

I wish you the very best in this contest.
