Introduction
Hello, amazing men and women, it's a great privilege to be among you all, its been exciting and memorable since I joined the platform, this is season 3 week 4, thanks to the steemit team for such a wonderful contest of the engagement challenge, Thanks to the amazing community of steem for betterlife for an effort of bringing forth an educating contest topic to share the role of various genders. Here is my entry and I am happy having you on my blog, I know you will find it interesting so, please keep reading down.
Gender: is simply a specification of who an individual is, either a female or male. This topic is amazing because gender has to do with humans, gender is a unique thing to talk about. It is clear that an animal (higher or lower animal) has two genders either female gender or male gender and each of this gender has their respected roles to play in the community or anywhere they find themselves and I noticed that, treatment of genders varies differently and it also varies in different countries I.e the role and treatment given to female gender in Nigeria might differ from the one in America why because we live under the umbrella of culture.
Does gender play a role in our everyday life?
Yes! Gender plays an important role in our everyday life. Every family has what is called gender and the different genders also have their different role to play.Gender role starts in the morning whereby, the male gender commence their duties, and the female gender goes out too to start any work that has to do with the female gender. Gender plays a role in everyday life because it gives every gender a role to play. In my country, every gender has a specific work or role to play. Therefore, gender plays a role by making the genders know their limit when it comes to domestic work, their limit in decision making, and so on.
It also plays an important role when it comes to a job in companies and so on. Some jobs specifically belong to a certain gender, therefore, alerting the other gender to know the right job and place to be. For example, there are jobs that on a normal,female gender can't try at all, and such works go for men because of the attributes God has created in them.
How does the role or function in your country differ from gender to gender?
I am a Nigerian, in my country, we respect the fact that we have different gender with our respected functions and then we grow to see that, the male and the female genders have their different roles to play.
The male gender happens to be called father when he married. While the female gender is called the mother.
Male gender are the heads of the family while the female gender are the second head.
The male gender provides for the family while the female gender takes care of the home.
In decision-making, the male gender is always the first to speak
When it comes to marriage, the male propose and the woman accepts or rejects the proposal.
The male goes for hard work while female can't so they go for less hard work.
We have so many other roles I didn't mention. We can see from these little functions listed above, women or female genders are well respected and valued. The male gender understands and behaves themselves and that is what makes them unique.
Is it the same for other countries?
Wow! It is not the same for other countries although talking about my country which I have listed the roles above, I want to believe that all Africans should have the same functions for different genders. But for western region life, I feel there should be differences because of our different traditions and culture or might be similar.
Most times, I see western people doing things like the male gender doing house chores instead of the woman doing that. Which in my country is very hard due to our culture and tradition.
What about Steemit?
The steemit platform is such that it respects the fact that both genders are involved in the platform but the platform gives room for both genders to participate without any special specification for males or females which is interesting.
Conclusion

Everyone must have their own role, when a woman takes care of the household they cannot be called a servant, there is a responsibility that must be done with the heart, so does the husband, he is not only a husband but the leader of the household who must also be responsible, husband and wife must jointly take care of household affairs so that equality can be obtained, and we must not forget our nature, but speaking of achievements I will strongly agree that there is no such thing as a man and a woman...

Gender is the most basic of all human characteristics. It is simply a specification of who an individual is, either a female or male. Gender is a social construction that has evolved from biological differences. In the past, gender was used to distinguish male and female roles and to control society. Today, gender is less about roles and more about identity. good luck have a nice day

Los factores culturales juegan un papel importante cuando se trata de marcar diferencias de género, por lo tanto cada país asigna roles según su cultura. A mí parecer estos países deben dar un paso adelante y permitir más libertad para la mujer.
En cuanto a Steemit estoy totalmente de acuerdo contigo, el respeto y la unión entre los géneros que existe da asombrosa. No hay prejuicios ni discriminación, todos tenemos igualdad de condiciones.

You have really written perfectly well on the topic under review dear. Indeed every gender have a specific role to play in the society. Here in Nigeria, males gender is considered to be the head, while the females are seen as helpers. This could differ in other countries because we are under the umbrella of different cultures.
