Good day to everyone in this beautiful community. You are all welcome to my blog today. I trust you are all having a nice time. This is my entry on the contest:Rural transportation review

I'll be giving reviews on basically the three most common means on transportation in my neighbourhood. They include tricycle ,motorcycle and bus.
Taxis are also used but they are not as common as the three I mentioned earlier. They are mostly used in special cases or when there is no other option because of their high rates. For example when coming from an airport you will have to use a taxi because there are no provisions for other means of transportation within the airport vicinity for reasons best known to the government.

Motorcycle

Motorcycle is the most common means of transportation in kaduna and quite expensive.
For instance from here to here costs 300naira an equivalent of 1.2 steems.
They cover large distances in short time.
They can take their passengers regardless of the nature of the traffic because of their size. They can carry a maximum of 2 passengers and in rare cases they carry 3 passengers (one passenger on the fuel tank ) which is not advisable because peradventure an accident happens the person on the tank will sustain a higher degree of injury.
Though they do not wait to reach their limit of passengers before moving and they do not wait to pick passengers of the way therefore making it a very fast means of transport compared to others

This means of transportation has its downsides which has over the years been the reason some states in the country are banning them from operating. They have been used by perpetrators of crime to steal from well meaning citizens by snatching their belongings while in motion and fleeing.

Tricycle

This is a good means of transportation and is quite affordable because it carries three (3)passengers and one(1)in front , therefore splitting the original cost among the passengers. It has an edge over motorcycle because it can be used for conveyance or goods unlike motorcycle, it has a small boot and goods can be carried on the roof of the tricycle. Passengers can also relax in it comfortably. Sun wouldn't smite its passengers but I can't say so for rain .
It is very light and tend to have accident frequently while making a turn, prolly because of lack of balance

Bus

This is the cheapest means of transport and also the slowest. It can carry upto eighteen (18) passengers at a go but can be so frustrating as well because passengers are always alighting at every point and new ones are boarding.
I wouldn't advise anybody who is time conscious to use a bus rather they should use a bike if they have enough resources at hand.
Although it is actually the safest among its pairs and can also carry goods in its wide boot. It is and all weather means of transportation because regardless of the weather condition it will work perfectly.
