Captivating Serenity: A Journey to Madolsima Mini World's End
Being mixed with nature is always refreshing and relaxing. It's always a good thing to get a break once in a while from our hectic lifestyle and have a change. So, Madolsima Mini World's End is such a place that offers us a breathtaking view and serenity of Mother Nature.
As the name suggests it's one of the famous viewpoints where you can have a panorama view of a wider range, located in the Madolsima area.
Madolsima is a charming rural village located in Badulla District, Uva province Sri Lanka. The village is known for its scenic beauty and calming climate. The area is filled with green mountains and tea plantations.
The easiest path to the place is from Passara town, which is very easy to find. From there you can get a bus to Metigahathenna, and just get off near the Mini World's end. But the schedule is limited. The best option is to have a bike or a three-wheel so you can enjoy the surrounding. From Passara, there is around 30km to Madolsima town and 50km to the viewpoint.
It's hard to go by van or car, as there are some points that the road is not well enough to pass. (You may have to hike on foot for around 4km). Anyway, it's not hard with this kind of natural beauty.
The Beautiful Scenery along the way
This mountain range belongs to the central Hills of Sri Lanka. The highest location/ Mini World area belongs to Roeberry Tea Estate. It's around 2500-3000 ft above mean sea level. So, I guess you have heard about the famous World's End in Sri Lanka, located in Horton Place. This place is no less breathtaking than that.
You can see several districts up to the East, including several tanks, temples, and forests. Following are those cities and districts that can see from the top. It's a wide range.
Kandy , Meegahakiula, Nagadeepa Lake, Mahiyangana, Ulhitiya, Sora Bora Lake, Bibile, Kotagama Village,Batticaloa , Ampara, Senanayake Reservoir, Moneragala, Passara and Badulla.

There is a drawing at the top mentioning the direction to look to see different districts.
Well, apart from the view, you can camp in the place too. Anyway, you need to get the essentials as required, as there are no shops nearby. And it needs to be extremely careful in the place, as there is nothing but the deep opening. Earlier in 2020, a journalist got killed falling from the top. Then the media channel constructed a safety fence around the area as a protection for the visitors.
Enjoying the view
So, if you ever come to don't forget to try here. It won't be in vain.
Until the next time! Enjoy!
Thank you.
Best Regards!
It is picture perfect! BUT not for me.
I will view it from the images you guys take.
My legs won't feel like jelly when I look down that mountain, it will be jelly.
I like my two feet solid and flat on Mother Earth. (•ิ‿•ิ)
Oooh really? It's a phobia I guess!!! 😋 No worries, you have explored so much more around the world!!!
You are right; there is plenty to see from all over the world without looking down a mountain. Just a pity that I have to fly to see the rest of the world. With the help of medication I've made it so far.
Even at cricket matches, I will never sit higher than the middle of the stand. (•ิ‿•ิ)
