Various competitions and environmental activities were held to enliven the 53rd anniversary of Universitas Malikussaleh which will take place in June 2022. One of them is a stand-up comedy competition with the theme of education in a broad sense which will take place from 6-12 June at the Bukit Indah Lhokseumawe Campus Parking Lot.

The Head of the Center for Language, Public Relations and Publishing at Malikussaleh University, Teuku Kemal Fasya, said that this competition was held to hone and provide opportunities for students to hone artistic creativity, especially stand-up comedy which is increasingly gaining a place as a popular form of entertainment.

"Although students of Malikussaleh University are prioritized, lecturers, education staff, and alumni are also welcome to participate," said Kemal Fasya at the Bukit Indah Campus, Lhokseumawe, Friday, June 3, 2022.

Due to the limited performance time from 6-12 June 2022, the number of participants is only limited to 30 people. Each participant is only given about 5-7 minutes and this is one aspect of the assessment. “So, the participants must be disciplined in using only 5 to 7 minutes. Stand-up comedy material must be prepared from the beginning, although this does not need to be submitted to the committee,” added Teuku Kemal Fasya, who is also a national writer.

Registration of participants in the stand-up comedy competition is free for students, lecturers, education staff, and alumni of Malikussaleh University. The committee provides prizes for the three winners amounting to millions of rupiah.

The participant requirements and complete race information are as follows:

1. Participants are Malikussaleh University academics and alumni.

3. a Maximum number of 30 participants.
4. Participants' performance schedule will be announced later, participants are advised to monitor the competition information at news.unimal.ac.id.
5. The stand-up comedy location was held on the main stage of the Ethnographic Art Performance and the UMKM Bazaar at the Bukit Indah Campus Parking Lot, Lhokseumawe.
6. The competition will be held from 6-12 June with the time to be announced later.

COMPETITION PROCEDURES:

1. Participants who do not attend will be disqualified.
2. Participants who are called three times are not available, they will be declared disqualified.
3. Participants are prohibited from plagiarizing existing stand-up comedy materials or results.
4. Participants are prohibited from using harsh words, containing SARA (ethnicity, religion, and race), and smelling pornography.
5. The theme of stand up comedy is “EDUCATION” in a broad sense.
6. Minimum duration of 5 to 7 minutes.
7. Participants dress freely, politely, and wear shoes.
8. Participants must obey the rules that have been set and if violated will be disqualified.
9. The decision of the jury is final and cannot be contested by any party.

Kesempatan Mengasah Kreativitas Melalui Lomba Stand Up Comedy

Berbagai perlombaan dan kegiatan lingkungan digelar untuk memeriahkan Dies Natalis Universitas Malikussaleh ke-53 yang berlangsung dalam Juni 2022 ini. Salah satunya adalah lomba stand up comedy bertema pendidikan dalam pengertian luas yang akan berlangsung mulai 6-12 Juni di Lapangan Parkir Kampus Bukit Indah Lhokseumawe.

Kepala Pusat Bahasa, Kehumasan, dan Penerbitan Universitas Malikussaleh, Teuku Kemal Fasya, menyebutkan lomba ini digelar untuk mengasah dan memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa dalam mengasah kreativitas seni, khususnya stand up comedy yang semakin mendapat tempat sebagai salah satu bentuk hiburan yang digemari.

“Meski diutamakan bagi mahasiswa Universitas Malikussaleh, para dosen, tenaga kependidikan, serta alumni, juga boleh ikut,” ujar Kemal Fasya di Kampus Bukit Indah, Lhokseumawe, Jumat (3/6/2022).

Mengingat waktu penampilan yang sempit mulai 6-12 Juni 2022, jumlah peserta hanya dibatasi sampai 30 orang saja. Setiap peserta hanya diberikan waktu sekitar 5-7 menit saja dan ini menjadi salah satu aspek penilaian. “Jadi, para peserta harus disiplin memanfaatkan waktu antara 5 sampai 7 menit saja. Materi stand up comedy harus disiapkan dari awal, meski ini tidak perlu diserahkan kepada panitia,” tambah Teuku Kemal Fasya yang juga seorang penulis nasional.

Pendaftaran peserta lomba stand up comedy gratis bagi mahasiswa, dosen, tenaga kependidikan, dan alumni Universitas Malikussaleh. Panitia menyediakan hadiah bagi tiga pemenang berjumlah jutaan rupiah.

3. Maksimal jumlah 30 peserta.

5. Lokasi stand up comedy digelar di panggung utama Pentas Seni Etnografi dan Bazar UMKM di Lapangan Parkir Kampus Bukit Indah, Lhokseumawe.
6. Perlombaan dilakukan mulai 6-12 Juni dengan waktu yang akan diumumkan kemudian.

TATA TERTIB LOMBA:

1. Peserta yang tidak hadir akan didiskualifikasi.
2. Peserta yang dipanggil sebanyak tiga kali tidak ada, maka akan diyatakan gugur.
3. Peserta dilarang menjiplak materi atau hasil stand up comedy yang sudah ada.
4. Peserta dilarang menggunakan kata-kata kasar, mengandung SARA dan berbau pornografi.
5. Tema stand up comedy adalah “PENDIDIKAN” dalam makna yang luas.
6. Durasi minimal 5 sampai 7 menit.
7. Peserta berpakaian bebas, sopan, dan bersepatu.
8. Peserta harus menaati peraturan yang telah ditetapkan dan apabila dilanggar akan didiskualifikasi.
9. Keputusan dewan juri adalah mutlak dan tidak dapat diganggugugat oleh pihak manapun.
