Street Food Contest: Coffee Shop Review – Warkop Cek Pon Bahtera (Specialist Boh Manok Weng)

This time I will try to participate in a contest organized by @klen.civil with the theme Review Coffee Shop. Coffee in Acehnese society has become flesh and blood for most of the people. As the largest coffee producer in Indonesia, there are two types of coffee grown in Aceh, namely Robusta and Arabica. Robusta coffee is famous for being produced in the Ulee Kareng District, Banda Aceh which is famous for its Ulee Kareng Coffee which is sold in almost all coffee shops in the Veranda of Mecca today. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee is mostly produced in the Gayo Highlands, where in this area the average farmer grows Arabica coffee which has a distinctive taste with the main characteristics, including complex aromas and flavors and strong viscosity.

Currently throughout Aceh, there are also many coffee shops, both traditional stalls and cafes that adhere to contemporary and modern concepts. This is inseparable from the culture of the people in Aceh who spend their time in coffee shops with various interests. Some are just for relaxing or even as a meeting place with business colleagues and others.

Each coffee shop or café has its own uniqueness, both in terms of building architecture and the types of food and drinks served. Currently, the coffee shop and cafe business is quite promising in Aceh. Steemians often make coffee shops or cafes a place to meet and discuss with fellow steemians and even make posts there or just looking for ideas to make posts.

I personally sometimes meet with colleagues or business guests who visit our office and talk about various things there. I also like to stop at certain coffee shops when I'm on a trip and want to rest because I'm tired of driving a car like some time ago when I went to Pidie Regency to visit our deceased family.

At that time, my family and I stopped at Keudee Meureudu, Pidie Jaya Regency to buy special coffee drinks that were sold at a coffee shop called WARUNG KOPI CEK PON BAHTERA, which is located in the center Keude Meureudu. This coffee shop is very easy to reach with a fairly large parking area and a comfortable and clean atmosphere.

This coffee shop provides a special menu, namely BMW = BOH MANOK WENG (Egg shake coffee) which is a very famous coffee variant in Aceh. The specialty of the coffee sold at this shop is that the coffee is mixed with beaten village chicken eggs. In the tradition of the Acehnese people, this coffee is believed to have many benefits and can increase stamina and reduce fatigue so that the Acehnese consume this type of coffee to increase stamina for various purposes, including when traveling.

This is not an exaggeration because coffee is known to have many benefits for us and if it is added with chicken eggs which have high nutritional value, it will certainly be very beneficial for health.

When I stopped at the coffe shop Cek Pon Bahtera , I bought 2 cups of BMW Kopi for 30,000 IDR because only two people drank coffee.
