Friend steemians wherever you are, currently the environmental issue is a topic that attracts the world's attention because of the various impacts caused by environmental damage, where one of the effects is global warming (global warming) which is felt by almost all the world's population. The impact of global warming has caused damage to ecosystems as well as worrying anomalies such as melting glaciers, rising sea levels, intense heat waves and stronger storms and changes in animal habitats. The world's dependence on fossil energy and the impact of industrialization has caused widespread damage where the continuous exploitation of natural resources has made the world's future face increasingly bleak. The hope that countries in the tropics can become the lungs of the world is getting thinner because of the increasing exploration and encroachment of forests. Deforestation of this forest must be prevented in such a way as to provide hope for a better life for future generations.

It cannot be denied that there are still many parties who seek personal gain at the expense of the public interest and exploit resources in a reckless manner without thinking about the environmental damage caused by their activities. Forest fires are becoming more frequent which causes smog even to neighboring countries is an example of the effect of these activities. The oligarchs even back up their activities with infiltrated regulations such as the concerns of environmental activists WALHI, Green Peace and others. Unfortunately, when they speak, they get criminalized from the parties. In fact, to ensure the sustainability of our nature requires community participation in various aspects and levels so that it can be carried out optimally. These environmental activists often struggle with even risking their lives for the future of future generations.

As individuals, we should make efforts to support environmental conservation efforts with various actions that contribute positively to the achievement of a healthy and comfortable environment starting from small things and contained in our daily life. The culture of littering, for example, must be avoided, where during this covid pandemic period, it was reported that many birds even died because they were entangled in mask ropes that were thrown away carelessly. Disposing of garbage carelessly also causes damage to the beauty of the environment and can even exacerbate flooding events in some places.

Waste is a problem for our lives where in our daily life we always produce waste, both organic and inorganic waste that cannot be decomposed which causes its own problems. The hedonic behavior of the community sometimes exacerbates this condition, where the tendency to consume goods packaged with inorganic materials which are then disposed of carelessly will cause severe environmental damage. We should be able to contribute to the environment by choosing products that are not a contributor to environmental damage and even though it has been widely applied in people's daily lives, unfortunately there are still many who do not understand very well about being environmentally friendly itself. Many of us are still ignorant and ignore the small things that can affect the condition of our living environment.

Currently there is a concept, namely GO Green which is being campaigned throughout the world as an act of saving the earth which has been damaged and global warming caused by human activities which is also known as reforestation which give hope for the future.

Environmentally friendly lifestyle that we can do in our daily life, among others, by using water and electricity wisely, which apart from being a saving measure also has a positive impact on the environment. The hobby of growing plants also has the same effect where in addition to providing benefits in the form of products such as vegetables that can be consumed, they can also manage waste by using root vegetables and replanting them.

Today, various activities have been carried out to recycle inorganic waste into goods with high economic value, such as processing plastic waste into handicrafts that can be sold and increase income. and of course reducing environmental damage when waste is disposed of and cannot be decomposed.

Another small step is to use environmentally friendly products in our daily life, for example using eco-friendly bags like I did yesterday when I delivered my nephew's food order at Dayah Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon. I bought an eco-friendly bag at Alfamart Matangkuli for 1,500 rupiah per bag. This bag is made of 100% paper material and is an environmentally friendly bag (Eco Friendly Bag) because this paper material is easily biodegradable compared to plastic bags which are commonly used by many people.

I brought my nephew's food order which I put in this eco-friendly bag while I went to work in Lhoksukon which is close to the Dayah location. We should try to make small things like this a habit and our lifestyle in order to contribute positively to the improvement of the environment for the future of our children and grandchildren in the future.
