I'm happy to be a member of this community and today, I will be talking about steem growth.
The Steemit platform is the most popular and widely used decentralized platform powered by Steem. For this reason, it's activities renders more impact on the value of Steem token more than anyother decentralized platform powered by Steem.
This explains why users are expected to engage in activities that will positively affect the value of Steem. One of these activities includes regular power ups.
This is one of the most common terms on the Steemit platfrom. It's popularity is due to its level of importance as users are being constantly reminded to power up.
Also, users are not just reminded to power up but are also encouraged to power up constantly by giving them extra rewards based on their rate of power ups.
The rate of power up of users can easily been seen by considering their various clubstatus with those in club100 being users with the most active power up history.

Power up is arguably the most important activity on steemit because that it was helps to grow and maintain the value of Steem.
We all know that value is derived from buying and selling. Which means as more people buy and holds an asset, thr value increases and as more people sell it, the value drops. This explains why power up is important for as more people power up Steem (holds Steem) the value increases and as more people sell it, the value drops.
- Increase in Steem popularity
Regular power ups can also go a long way in increasing the popularity of Steem. Cryptocurrencies are ranked based on market capitalization and that has seen Bitcoin and Ethereum to be the most popular cryptocurrency due to their significant market capitalization.
Powering up Steem will definately see to its price increase and this will cause an increase in the market capitalization because the market capitalization is calculated by multiplying the price with the circulating supply.
The increase in market capitalization will definitely make the rank to increase from its current #262 to being among the top 100 cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap.
Being among the top 100 cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap will allow more people to see it thus leading to a more wider adoption.
- Increase in inflow of users
Regular power up will also increase the inflow of users on the Steemit platform because with the influence of power ups, Steem will tend to gain more value and this value will see to the increase of its market capitalization thus making it visible to more persons. Will this visibility, cryptocurrency users will sought for ways to earn Steem token due to its reasonable value and that will lead most of them to Steemit.
The benefits of power up is not just to Steem but also to the users.

The Steemit platform is a decentralized social media platform which rewards content creators based on their Proof of brain. This reward is gotten from other used who vote on various contents that they like on the platform.
Users add more value to contents based on the amount of their Steem power which is what determines the amount of influence a user will have on the platform.
Regular power ups helps users to build their Steem power thus making them able to add real value to contents they like on the platform by voting on them.

Due to the importance of power up, the steemit team have chosen to increase reward for those who are actively powering up. This is what that has created created the various clubs as we know today.
Those who engage in regular power ups are found to be in club100 and club75 respectively and this attracts additional rewards.
- Ensures discipline
Regular power up has a way of ensuring financial discipline on users because it makes it difficult for them to spend their Steem tokens.
Users who engage in regular power up will on the long run get use to this financial discipline which will in turn help them to be more discipline when it comes to finance management.
Today I have also made a power up of 16.94 Steem which has seen my cumulative sp to become 108.6 thus bringing me a step closer to becoming a minnow (500 sp).

Having grown to know the importance of power up and seeing that it is of mutual benefits to everyone, I have been deligently powering up all my earnings since the last two months and that has seen me maintainaing a club75 status and soon I will be in club100 which has always been my target.
From the above screenshot, you will see that I have transfered out zero (0) Steem in the last 2 months thus making me an active follower of club75 status.

I really appreciate the Steemit team and the various communities which have been seeing to my growth on this platfrom.
