Yo! Thursdays are for what? It gladdens my heart to share with you all how my Thursday 14th October, 2021 promosteem shout-out went in my school, Akwa Ibom State University, Nigeria. It was a huge success! Well, some things happen for good. I was to join Uyo city team in promoting steemit but unfortunately for me, I got an urgent call from school to submit my project work. Since I had it in mind that I'm going for promotion, I dressed up with my promosteem T-shirt, when I got to school gate, I called @toriasam and my friend to join me.

I signed up 3 new users and here are their usernames;
@harmo, @ediblessed and @kanamk.

We successfully did our promotion in just two faculties; The Faculty of Physical Sciences and Faculty of Biological Sciences. We started our promotion from Faculty of Physical Sciences where we met few people in Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics and Physics Department and talked to them about steemit. They were all interested but using exams as an excuse for not signing up immediately. I still had to convince them that there's life after examination, that they can actually sign up, then start being active after exams.

Afterwards, we moved down to Faculty of Biological sciences although exams were going on. I met @harmo advertising her products in Genetics and Biotechnology Department.

I told her about steemit and she was really happy when I mentioned that she can actually promote her business on steemit.
After that,we stopped by the Department of Microbiology where I signed up @ediblessed and introduced steemit to others.

We also met few people in Marine biology where my friend talked to them and they gave her listening ears and developed interest in joining steemit.

After promoting for 4 hours 30 minutes, we moved down to the school cafeteria to take our lunch but before that, we had to stick to the deal of the day by promoting steemit at the cafeteria to those that were there before getting our lunch.

We were filled and exhausted, so we had to relax for few minutes before going home.

On our way out from school, we couldn't keep calm but still had to talk to people before getting to the gate.

Getting home, I met my cousin that came visiting, I introduced steemit to her and took some beautiful pictures of myself and post on my social media handle (WhatsApp) in order to continue my promotion online.

CONCLUSION

I am very happy and super proud of myself for coming this far in my promosteem shout-out race. It amazed me that I could be that strong and independent on my second time of Thursday shout-out. I want to really appreciate @promosteem.com for the opportunity given to us. My deepest gratitude goes to @ngoenyi our city (Uyo) leader for leading us with good example. Looking up to her, I've developed the ability, boldness to stand out and energy to do what is right and carry others along. For going thus far, I strongly believe that my next Thursday shout-out will cause enough traffic with new users and that the world must hear about steemit. I appreciate you all for reading.
