This is a topic I find very interesting as It relates well with me,do read on.

Should women alone take care of the children? what's your take on this?
No, woman shouldn't take care of children alone, this is literally because a woman alone cannot make a child and therefore the responsibility of caring for the children should rest on the both parties involved in making the child.

It has been designated by God during the time of creation and to follow the normal procedure both fathers and mothers must be involved in the active and effective caring of the children to reduce misbehaviors.

Most father's think that once they can provide school fees, clothing, shelter and food for their children that's all but though those are essential in a child's life,those are just the basics, A father needs to be present in the life of the children, it shouldn't be just his money present if not those children will grow up and he won't even know the people he raised.

Should this practice still continue? No, it shouldn't
Parenting is only complete when a father and a mother care for the children and not mother's alone.

Is there advantage when the male gender takes care of the children also?
Yes, when the male gender takes up his role in caring for his children they will receive some of this points

• Mentorship
  Children see their father as a man to look up to and if he's always around caring for them they will know him better, learn and pick up good traits from him.

• Better communication
  With the male gender around, show care to the children,they become free and at ease with him and can tell him things that go on in school,in the neighborhood and other places that can be of help in guiding the children,they would be free to open up to him in better communication and it helps to father relate better.

• Discipline
  The father can better discipline the children when he shows consistent care for them as they will see it as an act done in love in other to correct them and not hatred.

the father in a family is the priest of the family and of the children and as a priest once he is around he can speak words that will set the course of the child aright.
