Hi, lovely greetings to @steemFamily members and other fellow steemians. I wish Registration my appreciation to this prestigious Community @syeemfamily for this contest. I am delighted to share with you how I spent my holiday this winter season in a Survival camp and outdoor activities.

SURVIVAL CAMP

This winter season was an interesting and remarkable one as it was marked by various programs and outdoor activities/games
This Programme took place far away in a bush where there are no houses, shop, or good and portable drinking water. The essence of this Programme is to teach the youth skills that will help them to cope with and survive in hard and difficult times. We were taught certain Camping Skills. Camping skills are those things you need to know and do to make you self-dependent while camping.
Those skills include:
Fire Building
Camp Cooking
Tent Making.
Orienteering
Safety
Water Boiling
Artsmanship
Knots And Lashing.

Fire Building:

While camping in the bush, building a camp fire because necessary so we built one big fire to, keep us warm in that cold open air especially at night when the dew is falling and the wind blowing hard on the trees. The fire also served the purpose of scaring away dangerous nocturnal animals and predators. The fire was also a signal of presence of humans in the bush to hunters parading the bush at night and the smoke smoke ascending in the sky in the day showed there are people in the bush. Aside all these aforementioned purposes, the fire served the purpose of camp cooking, water Boiling and roasting of yams, plantains eggs and toastpotatoes.

Tent Making:

We made tent to SHIELD us from the scorching sun in the day, to have a place to relax and fun some funds and play game. I went and cut trees and palm fronds to use in tent Making.

OUTDOOR GAMES AND ACTIVITIES

These are very interesting games. They are also fun-making at the same time.
They games include:

3• Water Race
4• Needle Race
5• Sac Race
6• Obstacle Race
7• Catapulting
8• Tug of War

The participants were given five stones to aim at (and probably burst) the balloons

Conclusion
