INTRODUCTION

If we are being honest nothing exists that is created and developed by imperfect humans that will ever be perfect, therefore the blockchain technology and its network is also not perfect and will sometimes need to updated and improved in its operations and in its mechanisms.

There exists many innovative technologies including cryptographic signatures that have had the chance to update and improve the operations of the blockchain network and one of these cryptographic signatures is the Meta signature, it has been able to increase and ensure the security, integrity and authenticity of transactions done by blockchain networks.

Therefore, in this post of mine I am going to be explaining and discussing some of the different modes in which the meta signature operates in the blockchain network and how it is continuing to increase and expand the functionality of blockchain networks.

MULTI SIGNATURE AUTHENTICATION

Multi signature authentication can be said to be the most significant and fundamental of the modes of operation of the meta signature and at the end of this subheading you will come to see why, the multi signature authentication based on the name alone you can tell it allows for the authentication of multiple signatures.

But apart from that the meta signature presents its uniqueness through this mode of operation because where other cryptographic signatures schemes and algorithms that involve multiple signatures usually require the signatures of all the parties involved before the signature can be authenticated and considered valid,

The meta signature basically, through the multi signature authentication uses metadata which is able to determine and specify the number of signatures which is supposed to be in the signature as well as give the identities of the signers, this method or mode of operation significantly simplifies the process of verifying the authenticity of signatures in blockchain networks.

Threshold signatures, this is a type of signature scheme that operates by setting and stating a specific and unchangable number of participants which is regarded as a "threshold", this threshold was chosen and selected out of a much larger group of participants whose number is not specified, the threshold are tasked with signing and authenticating transactions on behalf of everybody in the group.

The threshold signature is another significant and important mode of operation of the meta signature and this method of operation has proven to be beneficial and efficient in blockchain networks, after signing the meta signature scheme uses meta data to determine the threshold and the identities of the participants.

Additionally, the meta signature and its mechanisms can be applied in cases where large number of people needs to sign the same contracts or open and share one wallet in the blockchain network, the meta signature through this mode of operation, increases security of the network, making sure that one participant can not access or generate a valid signature by himself especially when the key is being compromised.

DELEGATED SIGNATURE

Delegated signature is a signature scheme that enables and allows original users to delegate thier signing authority and power to another individual, the original user or signer will create another signature from his private key that can be verified by his public key, this is also is another mode or method of operation of the meta signature in the blockchain network.

The process of delegation is done in such a way that it does not give or allow the delgate access to the original users private key, the mechanism also makes it so that there are limitations to which the delegate is confided to, the meta signature through this mode of operation is very important and significant in cases where the original signer is indisposed.

AGGREGATED SIGNATURE

Aggregated signature, this is another significant and important mode of operation, through the aggregate signature, meta signature scheme allows and facilitates the combination and compilation of multiple signatures into a single or one meta signature as a result, reducing the size of the signature data and the space required to store it.

Additionally this mode of operation is beneficial seeing as it helps to reduce and minimize usage of computational resources and in the process improving efficiency, scalability and transaction throughput it also helps to increase the speed of verification and processing of transactions and requests.

Furthermore, when it comes to the case of a growing large scale network, the aggregated meta signatures can go a long way in providing scalability basically by simplifying the process of verifying the authenticity of signatures seeing as instead of verifying multiple signatures and transactions only one is needed to be verified instead.

CONCLUSION

The meta signature offers to the blockchain technology and network increasing innovative protocols and mechanism and these innovative protocols and mechanisms are clearly seen in its mode of operation, it offers multi signature authentication, threshold signature, delegated signature and aggregated signature.
