Most crypto traders fail in their trading because they don't know how to stop revenge trading, which is a major cause of failure in crypto trading. Many good traders have fallen for the trap of revenge trading at some point in their careers, as nobody is above mistakes. However, in this post, more details about revenge trading and how to stop it have been shared.

Revenge Trading:

Revenge trading is the loss that a trader suffers in the market due to emotional or natural fear, which can happen to anyone. If you have been into trading or are with someone who is into trading, you will discover that after making a big loss, you will be thinking of entering a market that will cover your losses with the aim of making it big time. This is just like someone who went for a battle after being defeated by his opponent he then left to fortified himself with training with the idea of winning back his opponent.

To this end, when it comes to revenge trading in the crypto space, it is far behind that of a fight, which means opening another trade with the hope of getting back your losses. With that being said, it also means that revenge trading is simply when a trader is trying to force a trade to recover his or her losses quickly. Such a scenario has happened to me many times until I came to realize that the crypto market is so difficult to predict that I started applying the strategies shared below. Before that, let's look at the causes of revenge trading.

Causes of Revenge Trading

The causes of revenge trading are common and can happen to anyone, be it an expert or a beginner trader, since everyone has their own emotions. To this end, the causes are:

  • Fear
  • Anger
  • Shame
  • Greed
  • Pressure

Fear and shame are the two emotions that cause the losses that traders often face. Always being afraid to lose or to accept your losses and move on is a bad emotion that can make a trader lose more.

Greed and anger are the emotions that can drive you to decide to retry despite your losses, which can make you enter a trade without carrying out analysis or studying the market.

How to Avoid Revenge Trading

The strategies below can help you avoid revenge trading.

  • ENSURE YOU STICK TO YOUR PLAN:

In trading, you need to stick to your plan. Trade according to how you have planned to trade during the day. Always ensure you trust the system you have created, despite your losses.

  • LEARN TO ACCEPT LOSSES.

In trading, you need to work with the strategy that works best for you since there is no holy grail for trading. Learn how to accept losses when you make them and strategies to gain back your losses rather than entering the market immediately after you have made them.

  • TAKE A BREAK FROM TRADING.

The best way to avoid revenge trading is to take a break from trading, which can help you learn faster and know the causes of your losses, which you can then later handle better when you are ready to trade next.

Conclusion

In this post, we have been able to learn about revenge trading and how to avoid it. As a trader, learning how to avoid revenge trades can help you do better in trading than when you fail to learn. The post you have just read was completely written by me after carefully studying the information on the website below.

When I experience a loss, I get upset. That is what I feel.
I then smoke and enjoy a cup of coffee, then watch YouTube. It makes me calm down.
And some time later, after I found peace, I analyzed the causes of my trading plan failing, which caused me to lose. and from there I can take lessons from market structure and other things.
Even though I have been trading for 3 years in the derivatives market, I still feel annoyed when I experience a stop loss, even though I have measured the loss with a small risk.
but the above is what I do when I experience a loss.
Nice review, bro.

Hello @josepha,

Please correct the title of your post. It is "revenge trading" not "revenge training".

Please endeavor to use grammarly to correct typographical errors and read your post carefully before uploading them.
