Recipe: Tasty , Spicy and Crunchy Piaju
Hello everyone, today I have comes up with another snack recipe. Almost all of us are familiar with this dish. Maybe it’s known by different names in different places. Maybe some called it Pakora. But it is also known as depending on different types of places such as pikora, pakoda, pakodi, fakkura, bhajiya, bhajji, bhaji or ponako. Basically, it's a fried type snack.
We called it Piaju in our country. In the Indian subcontinent, it's a very famous snack. But remember it you have a Gastric/Acidity problem, I suggest you avoid this food. Without further ado😊, let's take a look at how to make this recipe.
The recipe that I am going to share with you today is made in a very different way from the traditional Piaju that we usually prepare. Before making it, let's see all the ingredients and quantity.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup - Lentils
- 1 Cup - Rice flour
- 1 Tablespoon _ Salt
- 1 Cup - slice Onions
- 1/2 teaspoon - turmeric Powder
- 2 Tbs - sliced green Pepper
(optional)
- 1 pics - egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 Tablespoon - corn floor
- 2/3 Cup - Coriander leaves
- 1 Tablespoon - Ginger paste
- 2/3 Cup - vegetable cooking oil
- 1 Cup - Slice Potato (optional)
At first, 1 cup of lentils should be dipped in water for a while. Then I will wash it well and blend it in a blender, I will not make it very fine. That means do not blend it too much. Blend a little, so that the lentil's looks are alike half blended just like the picture.
Now I will take the onion slice, green chilli slice, salt, turmeric half teaspoon, ginger, and garlic paste in a bowl and mixed them.
Now I will add 1 cup sliced potato. It will make the snack a little bit crispy. If you don't like it you can avoid it.
Then I will mix coriander leaves, egg, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda/corn floor with it.
Now I will add the lentil paste in it and mix them very well. Now rest it for 15 minutes.
At this moment, I will add the rice flour to it and mix it very well. then rest the mixer for 5 minutes.
Now I will take a pan and put some oil in it and let it heat for a while. Once the oil is hot, I will drop the mixer in a little ball size. Remember, it must be fry deep hot oil.
When the red color will come I will stop the heat and take off from the hot oil. Now you can decorate it in your own style.
