I've eaten those. They grow better on compost. But hard to save from rats😐

Purple yams have many names. In Tamil it's called "Rasavalli kilangu"and this yums is also called "water yums", "winged yum" and "ratalu" and Philippines say "ube".

In Sri lanka, it's 'dandina'. right?
