Hello everyone this is fruityapple00 from Cebu Philippines and I would like to say thank you to @steemitfoods who initiated this very interesting contest.

Street Food here in Philippines is one of the most popular to buy when it comes to budgeting , it is also one of the Filipinos favorite food. We Filipino love eating street food because it is easy to ease hunger at a low price only.

And now I am going to share with you the most popular street food that you'll find in Cebu and throughout the Philippines but before that I am going to share with you how do I get these photos.

I got a little bit of pressure about this contest because here in Cebu I could not see a lot of vendors who were selling street foods because of pandemic but before street food is everywhere even in the dawn you can still buy it.

I was so thankful because yesterday when I went outside, going to the street to take jeepney I saw someone selling streetfoods. I supposed to buy Fishball but he said he is not ready yet to sell it because he's still preparing for the stuff. When I dropped off to the another place which where I have to wait for my second ride going to the office, I also found another most popular steet food in the Philippines, Angel's Burger. The third one when I had my vacant time at 3:30pm for taking a break I also went to the outside to buy a banana cue. The last one which is barbeque for my meal tonight. And finally I can already make my entry for this contest and here are the photos I took yesterday. I used Iphone8plus for to take these photos .

Barbeque

Barbeque is typically larger cuts, cook low and slow with the lid on and is like roasting, but often with smoke. Barbeque is the best pair beer but also it is also the best when you eat this one with a rice. Barbeque can easily found in the middle to late afternoon. I am gonna share to you my favorite barbeque which is also the best seller.

Isaw

ISAW AND CHICKEN FEET

Isaw is one of my favorite barbeque it is refers to both pig and chicken intestines but I like the chicken intestines because for me it taste like a mini tube sausage. The best thing about eating Isaw is seasoning with vinegar. It is really good taste when you soak the Isaw in the spicy sauce or in chili onion vinegar. You can already buy it for only Php 5.00 - 7.00 per skewer / $.10 - $.14 per skewer.

The second one is Dugo-dugo in Cebuano or Betamax in tagalog. I supposed to buy that one but they were sold out but still I am gonna share to you about betamax since this is also the best seller. Betamax is a chicken blood that has been dried up and shaped into cube like pieces which are grilled. You might be wondering how they grilled that is something in liquid form? Well when you place it in an open container and cooled it down a little, the blood texture becomes thicker and somewhat gelatinous. Betamax has no taste at all, it doesn't have a foul smell as well or very gamy taste. It is just like chewing something without any taste .The best way to eat this one is the same also on how you gonna eat the Isaw by dipping it in a vinegar and chili mixture. These blocks were skewered in bamboo sticks usually 3 pieces per stick and you can buy it for only php 5.00 / $.10.

Chicken feet

The third one is Adidas or chicken feet it is the best Barbeque for me . I do really love Chicken feet and I ate that with rice or hanging rice for my lunch and for my dinner sometimes . This is also the best pair beer ever. This chicken feet should be marinated before you grilled it for the best taste . It taste like a roasted chicken and this is pretty tasty every now and then. These were skewered in bamboo sticks usually 2 pieces per stick and you can buy it for only Php 7.00 - php 10.00 or $ .14 - $.20

The bananas used to make banana cue are called saging na saba or saba bananas , and it is frequently used in Filipino cooking to make it desert like Banana cue turon , matamis na saging or that is coated in a brown sugar and caramelized but I like the guinanggang or ginang-gang . It is peeled , skewered and then grilled , then brush with margarine and white sugar. Ginanggang is my favorite snacks every now and then , it taste good and it is pretty sweet . These were skewered in bamboo sticks usually 2 pieces per stick and you can buy it for a cheapest price for only PHP 10.00 - PHP 12.00 or $.20 -&.24

Fish balls , tempura and kwek-kwek are the most popular street in the Philippines too . They are traditionally sold in mobile wooden carts by street vendors who peddle around town. They’re made mostle of starch extenders and barely contain fish meat while kwek-kwek is made with boiled chick or ducks eggs and it is distinguished by the deep orange color provided by an unusual batter in which eggs are coated before frying . The essential condiment to kwek-kwek is a spicy and source sauce and that is really my favorite.

These fish balls and tempura are deep fried in hot oil until puffed and looks golden . After cooked they will skewered these in a wooden stick and before you will eat these , you will have to dipped it in a variety of sauces ranging from a sweet , spice to sweet and sour ( I love to dipped it on a spicy sauce .) Fish balls , tempura and kwek-kwek could also be in a bamboo stick skewer and sometimes in a small paper plate.

These tempura and kwek kwek skewered in bamboo stick usually 3 pieces per stick and you can buy the tempura for only PHP 15.00 - Php 20.00 or $.30-$.40 . While the fish balls is only PHP 10.00 - Php 12.00 oe $.20-$.24 and usually you can already 8-10 pieces fish balls.

These are the list you should have try to eat before you leave in the Philippines.

  • Balut ( DUCK EMBRYO)
  • Lechon baboy
  • Lechon manok
  • Isaw
  • Betamax
  • Chicken feet
  • Fish balls
  • Tempura
  • Kwek-kwek
