Hello everyone, it will be my first post here on @SteemFoods, so I hope anyone who does read it likes and supports as it will immensely motivate me. I still might be lacking in many ways, so do help me out and point out my mistakes so I'll learn and avoid them later on.

I'm here to share with you guys an easy and delicious recipe that is one of my favorite and is really quick and easy to make with just some simple steps.
The ingredients listed below are to my and my family's liking and preference and can be changed as well. Like I have a pretty high spice tolerance, if you enjoy spicy food then follow the exact recipe or you can also reduce or even increase the quantity to your likings.

IngredientsQuantity
Meatballs (kofta) (pre-made)10, or according to your liking
Oilaccording to your preference
Onion (pyaz)3 medium, finely diced
Tomato (Tamatar)2 medium, chopped or puréed
Potato (aloo)3 medium, peeled and chopped
Ginger & Garlic Paste (Adrak lehsan paste)1 tsp
Green Chili or Chili Paste(Hari mirch)1 tsp
Knorr Chicken Stock1 cube
Salt (namak)½ tsp or according to your taste
Turmeric powder (haldi)¼ tsp
Red Chili Flakes (kuti lal mirch)½ tsp or according to your taste
Cumin (zeera)½ tsp
Red Chili Powder (lal mirch powder)½ tsp or according to your taste
Cloves (laung)3 to 4
Coriander (Hara dhania)chopped handful, for garnishing

DIRECTIONS

  • To a pot, add oil and fry the meatball. Here the meatballs are pre-made or frozen ones, you can also make them at home, but as I was busy and this was an easy option.

  • Then in the same pot, add more finely diced onions and fry until golden brown, try not to over fry then (brown or dark brown) . Dark brown onions tend to darken the curry and that is not what we are looking for.

  • Add tomato purée, that I blended in my blender along with some ginger, garlic and green chilies.

  • Now cook until the water is evaporated and then add the spices (masalas) such as black pepper, cloves, cumin, red chili powder, red chili flakes, Knorr chicken stock cube, and turmeric. Turmeric is an essential part of our cuisine and it adds a beautiful tint to the curry and it also has many health benefits as well.

  • Then add the peeled and chopped potatoes and mix well. Cook for about 5 to 10 minutes on medium heat.

  • Then add water to your liking, if you like thick curry then add about 1½ to 2 cups of water, and if you like the curry a bit watery like the way I do add in about 2 to 3 cups of water.

  • Just as the curry starts to bubble up, add the meatball and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.

  • Garnish the curry with the chopped coriander and I finally plated it with some fluffy white rice.
