|My Favorite Meal: Creole pavilion (Pabellón criollo)|100 DAYS OF STEEM : Day 18 - Weekly Writing Challenge #3|
Creole pavilion (Pabellón criollo)
I must say that I love to eat, therefore I really enjoy good food. Among my favorite dishes is the pavilion creole, consisting of four elements, stewed black beans, minced and stewed beef, white rice and fried ripe plantains.
The rice is prepared according to the instructions on the package, usually with two measures of water for each measure of the grain. Salt to taste and also to taste, a clove of garlic.
Male bananas are my favorites among the favorites. They must have smooth yellow skin, like the ones in the photograph. The skin is removed and they are cut into slices that are fried with little oil at medium temperature. In Venezuela, these slices of banana are called slices.
The black beans have a slightly longer preparation. They are placed in water for 6 hours with a little bit of baking soda, then they are washed, drained and put to cook with clean water, their cooking time is approximately equal to that of chickpeas. The dressing is made to taste of the house, but in some areas of Venezuela a tablespoon of sugar is added to give them a sweet touch.
And ready the four components the plate is assembled. The one I presented to you is known in some places as a pavilion with a railing.
