Greetings, everyone,
I am quite behind schedule with the #Inktober52 Challenge (Prompt 16 is already out). So, to catch up, I am combining here prompts 9 (wave) and 10 (elf). For those of you who do not know, the Inktober challenge, created by Jake Parker, was modified this year and offers followers on Instagram weekly prompts for a total of 52 drawings.

These are some of my previous drawings for the challenge:

For these prompts, I went conventional with an average looking elf that I modeled from some internet images and I just put her on an unconventional environment for an elf.

Here is the process.

I could not make up my mind about what the elf would be wearing. I settled for an atire I thought would be more in line with the sea environment.

The waves are always a challenge to draw. I took some pointers from asian art.

I had an even harder time trying to come up with a board that would be more elfish. Not very happy with the result, but I just could not keep undoing and redoing :)

When the pencil drawing was done, I applied an ink marker.

It was supposed to be black and white, but I could not resist the temptation of coloring the waves. I used color pencil dust and a piece of cotton to spread it. Hope you like it.
