Did I Get A Yodin Zaku At Last? What Really Happened?

I've shown my strategy to get a Yodin Zaku in two different posts (Please check below).

A Brief Info About My Strategy
I spent 23.90 USD in Dec to buy 10 Untamed Booster Pack and some potion to get in the airdrop for Yodin Zaku.
Got 50 cards from 10 untamed booster packs.
Total Cost
- 10 Untamed Booster Packs : 20$ in 20K Dec
- 50 Gold Potion: 1.66$ in 2500 DEC
- 50 Legendary Potion : 1.328$ in 2000 Dec
Total : (20+1.66+1.328) = 22.988$ in 24500 Dec
The total worth of those 50 cards was around 3.65$ and I spent around 23$.
No, I didn't get the card that I was waiting for and I got kind of disheartened.
So... days gone by and I almost forgot about this one.
I went to the "shop" page in splinterlands website to buy some potion maybe 2/3 days before and I got shocked seeing a Yodin Zaku is waiting for me there.
I was so happy seeing this and captured a screenshot at once to show it to some friends while sharing my happiness.
Then I clicked on the button "Claim Airdrop".
And then...
All my happiness of that small moment went in vain.
You wanna know what happened?
This happened.
First, it said that I am eligible for an airdrop and even gave me the option to claim it, and then it said that I didn't get anything.
Is this actually fair?
I was happy even after knowing that I didn't get any Yodin Zaku.
But it was a bad thing getting high on the happiness again for the same thing that I perished and then it went nowhere.
I'm still confused about what happened as I'm not that smart on how this works.
And actually, I wish to know what happened.
My questions to @splinterlands team are...
- Did I actually win a Yodin Zaku? If so then why I couldn't claim it even after I saw the claim option?
- If I didn't win any card from that airdrop then why I got that notification?
I'm not sure whom to ask these question but still I'm tagging @carrieallen , @clove71 , @isaria as I know them as curator of splinterlands so I'm thinking that I'll get to know the answer to those question from one of em.

You can check the explanation on the shop:
"There are a total of 14 special Airdrop characters that will be unlocked throughout the Untamed sales event.
Only until a character is unlocked can it be obtained via card packs. For every 100,000 Untamed packs sold, another character is unlocked. When a character is unlocked, all players who have previously purchased a pack receive a random distribution of the new character. Buying more packs will increase your chance of obtaining cards from the Airdrop. There is no guarantee that buying packs will result in receiving bonus cards, however buying more as early as possible will increase the number of opportunities to be rewarded."
The airdrops give you some chance to get the summoner but there is no grantee.

So... the banner says you are eligible... meaning you could win an airdrop. Many people don't even get that announcement.
We felt we needed something to show eligibility on the day of the drop, so specifically for you, you had 10 'entries'. Without this, people felt like they were missed.
Because so few are dropped the average amount of packs one would need for the best chance is 375. This is based on how many packs must be purchased before the drop can happen.
So while someone who buys ONE back could potentially win, it's much more likely that someon who bought 600 packs would because their 'name is in the hat' more often.
And no, you didn't win. I didn't either. 😆 I had over 100 packs eligible... and my hubs didn't either and he had over 300... but still less that the average 375. 😉
