My Lifestyle Content Choices: my food diary
Hello fellow Steemians, it's been a wonderful week and I'd like to share #myfooddiary with you.
To kick this off, I'd begin with banana pottage. This is one of my favorite traditional meals. And I can't stop eating it for days. To prepare this, you need some bananas (unripe) and ingredients to cook a sumptuous meal.
Ingredients needed, but not limited to:
-Crayfish
-Fish( of your choice)
-Pepper
-Maggi
-Salt
-Beef
-Palm oil
-Periwinkle
-Vegetables (pumpkin and scent leaves--optional)
Banana pottage is used in my hometown to bring up babies as their first food before other foods.
Banana pottage has a lot of nutritional facts:
-Helps in quick digestion.
-It provides the body with vital minerals.
-It satisfies( and this is the part I like most).
This meal can be consumed by anybody at anytime of the day. But I prefer having it for lunch.
The total amount in my local currency is N4,000.
I chose to have this food because first, there are no health issues that come with it as everything added to it is natural, and it gives strength to the body.
This is bitterleaf soup(egusi soup or ikon)
I used just N4,000 to fix this.
The following ingredients are needed:
-Melon
- Waterleaves
-Bitterleaf
-Fish
-Beef
-Crayfish
-Perewinkle
-Pepper
-Salt
-Maggi...
Bitterleaf soup
This soup can be used with garri, fufu, wheat or semolina.
Bitterleaf naturally is good for the body to control sugar, that's the only benefit I like eating this soup. Aside that, it has a great taste. I have this for lunch too, or early dinner.
Grating the coconut
Coconut rice is another delicious delicacy for me.
Ingredients:
-Coconut
-Rice
-Salt
-Fish
-Maggi
-Pepper
-Onions
-Fresh tomatoes
I used the tomatoes to garnish my food. You can use any fruit or vegetable of your choice for a more inviting and nutritional diet.
It cost me N3,000 to prepare this meal.
I have this for lunch or dinner.
Nutritional facts: rice is starchy, .so starch is gotten from here. There's no need for oil which has some level of cholesterol as the oil that comes with the coconut is natural.
Vegetable soup.
This soup doesn't cost much but has not just a good taste, but great benefits.
You need:
-Vegetables (pumpkin leaves)
-Waterleaves
-Beef
-Maggi
-Salt
-Pepper
-Onions
-Crayfish
-Palm oil etc
I had this for my dinner.
Vegetables as known gives blood to the body, its freshness is also good for the system.
I had N2,000 only for this soup.
