SEC S15 WK1: "Life on Social Media"
We at different points in our lives have suffered or benefited from exposure to social media platforms either for good or bad. However, we cannot underestimate the existence of social media platforms towards the advancement of the world as a global village.
Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time? |

This is a personal and individual decision to make. What is good for one may not be good for the other. We have different approaches to what benefits us or deprives us in either of the cases but the good thing here is achieving the purpose of self-reliance and happiness at last.
I know of many who cannot help but publish the day-to-day activities of their lives on social media. When they make new wear, we know, when their outfit looks alluring, we also know. They cannot live without many of these exposures they exhibit about themselves.
I am a private person and want my private life to remain so while the public remains public too. I do. not subscribe to our daily lives and be made known on social media. It brings unprecedented exposure and security threats to me.
Having such exposure simply means that one may know your itinerary and track you either for a good course or not. I am better to be assumed than to be predicted in any of my daily activities. Any exposure via social media platforms undermines this course.
Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well? |

There are countless cases of people I know who live their lives on social media platforms. But I will share one particular case that seems very recent to me. I have a friend who happens to be working in a bank and this bank is close to my working area. She is a lover of online platforms and social media. She starts her day and ends it on social media.
When she got married, I didn't attend her wedding but I got to know her spouse and everything that has to do with him. How do I know that, through constant updating of daily activities? I got to recognize the same face I'd constantly seen on her social media updates when I saw him on a walkway. It is terrible to know that he was the same person when I inquired about him from the wife.
This is r threat to people as we do not know the implications of reckless publicity on our loved ones. Not just only that, I get to know about their itineraries daily. When they went to eat, went for an occasion, etc.
The effects of living our lives on the Internet cannot be over-empower-emphasizedivensns inherent in it. People have been traced and murdered through social media connections and other negative vices.

Hahaha, not all that glitter is gold. This is a typical scenario of what we find in social media. We don't need to believe all that we see on social media. A greater percentage of them are fake exhibitions to either show off and attract people to their blogs, or a way to exhibit pseudo-wealth to attract the opposite gender.
The introduction of AI images has gone a step ahead to advance this showcasing by making what isn't decent to be decent. This does not remove the fact there are also true exhibitions published on social platforms but the case is that we have many of them on the negative.

Most of my posts in steemit have been perceived not to be harmful but however, educative. I have written different publications on different topics and hence they are not revealing in any way to cause security threats.
Even though steemit is also a social platform, we have to create balance in all we do so as not to compromise ourselves by revealing too much of our privacy in the public space.

Every thing has both bad side and good side. If social media can be used properly it surely helps to make our life transparent.
And I totally agree with you on the estimate I have read so much good content and gained knowledge. Which I didn't get even from my text book.
Definitely... There is no perfection anywhere except with our creator. In as much we praise the introduction of the social media platform, it also comes with some limitations that endanger us. Thanks for commenting

You are right, it's a personal decision of different people, but I agree with you, personality is one thing, which we can't go beyond. There should also be a limit on sharing on social media. The Steemit platform is a social media that we put our trust inKeep the important information of life.
