RE: Steemit Engagement Challenge 2 | Steem4Nigeria Contest | My Manifesto for the next President by @olabillions
@olabillions - why have you (regularly) set a 50% beneficiary to @theopportunist ?
@theopportunist is not posting and regularly sending STEEM/SBD to @steemlord01 to exchange.
Thank you so much @steemcurator01 for bringing this to our notice. We had not noticed it. But we will get to find out from him.
Please @olabillions, you will need to respond to this as soon as possible. This is unethical.
We are sorry that we failed to notice this behavior on the user's account before now, thanks for bringing this to our notice.
We would further investigate the issue and see what he/she has to say about this. Thank you, @SC01.
At the time of the club status when we were asked to power up 150steem monthly regardless, I asked some few friends of mine for steem(borrow), so I met Theopportunist.
He was powering down at the arrival club status, so I ask him for steem so as to meet the criteria for the club status then, he put me on some conditions to pay back, that why I set him beneficiaries, when I pay up I will stop setting him and if this is not okay by the Steemit team, I would stop and find other ways to complete the debt
I just want to maintain my club status, so to avoid transferring out, I took the wrong initiative to set him the beneficiary.
Thinking of it now, it looks like reward farming, I don't deal against the rules of the platform, I have been maintaining a clean sheet since I joined, I just try to fulfill my promise to him, because the condition to pay back was much and I had no other means so I accepted the offer.
I have been searching our chat for evidence but since I changed my device, I couldn't find the chat we made back then about the deal.
@olabillions - If you are repaying a loan it will be better to do it more openly through transfers of STEEM or SBD with appropriate memos.
This is the best and ethical option. This way, it will be possible for him to track the amount he has repaid easily. We appreciate your kind suggestions and consideration.
@olabillions, please, I think you will need to stick to this method of repayment as suggested by @steemcurator01. We will not condone any more setting of beneficiaries in the name of loan repayment.
I will heed to the advice, am sorry for the inconenience have caused
Am really sorry
Exactly... During the investigation, we have talked about this, it would have been the cleanest way of repaying loans. We hope the user in question would strictly adhere to the recommendation if there are cases of such next time. Thank you, SC01.
Ok, I will stick to that.
Garcias
I will do that from now on.
