How well do you know steemit blockchain?

The Steemit blockchain is a social media platform that's built on a type of digital ledger that verifies and link transactions together so that all entries are updated together and encrypted for security.
Steemit as a social media rewards it's users for depositing good quality entries on the platform. Steemit makes use of assessment votes and comment from high reputation users to determine how much to reward a post.

How can you explain steemit to a stranger?

Steemit is a blogging social media platform that rewards good quality contents with a cryptocurrency called Steem. When you write according to ethics and rules, engage your readers by being informative or entertaining. The readers rate your post by their votes and comments and the platform rewards such good post.

What is the meaning of this acronym CSI on steemit. How can a user know his /her voting CSI.

CSI stands for Community Support Index. I got it from a two years old post from @randulakoralage. The title of the post is What Does CSI Mean in Steemit ? explaining that voting CSI is a indicator score that tells if a person is making maximum use of their voting power to benefit others on the platform.

The page will show your details and your voting CSI will also show.

At this time, my voting CSI is 3.4 and a larger voting CSI is always better, around 8 to 10 weekly.

If your voting CSI is showing a question mark, it means you have not voted enough people in the past week.

Voting the same person repeatedly will not make a good voting CSI, vote different people, vote more people.

Voting yourself has negative effects on a person's voting CSI. Curation trails make plenty of self votes ^{Information from steemchiller}

What is the work of curators on steemit?
Curators are high value users on the steemit platform, with high Steem power and reputation, their work is to identify high quality posts and stake their voting power on such post, communicating to the platform that such an entry deserves to be rewarded.

What is SP ? . How long does it take to return to Steem if a power down is being initiated.

SP on steemit stands for Steem power. It is an indication of the users active savings in the platform.

You can start see the results of a power down in seven days. But it will take four weeks to get all Steem power down.

Conclusion
I believe there are still a lot of things about steemit I don't know yet because this plat form is vast and dynamic. It can change and evolve for the best at any time.
