Hello friends, I hope you are all well. I am also well because of the infinite mercy of God. Once again, I come to you to participate in this amazing topic of the sixth week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. Through today's challenge, I will share with you about My country; My Home.

Tell us about your Home (country), a brief history, will be an added advantage

---

My home and my country is Bangladesh. It is one of the developing countries in South Asia. Although the standard of living of people is not so improved but people can live here in peace. With time, our country has gained recognition in the world. Our country is famous all over the world especially for ready made garments.

Talking about the history of my country, it cannot be finished by writing. However, I would like to mention two incidents. Our independence was achieved on 16th December 1971 that's why we celebrate Independence Day every year on this day. After 9 months of war, our brave freedom fighters saved our country from the invading forces. Since then we have been recognized in the world as an independent state.

Moreover, in 1952 language martyrs protested demanding to make Bengali language as the state language and we got Bengali language because of their sacrifice. History of giving life for language is nowhere else in the world, so in 1999 UNESCO declared February 21 as international mother language day. My language is Bengali and my country is Bangladesh.

Why do you think your country is unique? Share at least 3 points.

I think my country is unique in some ways. Below I have shared some points:

• Our country is called a riverine country because there are many small and big rivers here. After some distance in every village or area a river must be seen which seems unique to me.

• The people of our country are called Bengalis in fish and rice. Because the people of our country want to have fish curry whether there is anything else in their daily curry or not. Therefore, the tradition of different types of fish has given Bengalis a unique identity.

• Our country has Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world. Moreover, our country being a big delta has many water bodies which makes our country unique.

Would you leave your country to settle in another if an opportunity shows up? Back up your answer with reasons.

This is a very complicated question. But it depends on whether you are happy in the country you are currently in or not, if you feel that settling somewhere else will improve your quality of life then you should consider it. Because I think every man has the right to live a good life with his family where he can properly enjoy his basic rights and other rights as a citizen. Moreover, there is a need to make changes in life which may require us to settle in another place to fulfill our incomplete things.

What areas of your home (country) would you love to see an improvement?

I will mention two things that I think not only mine but maybe the people of the whole country want where our country needs improvement.

Making government services faster. In our country, if a citizen goes to a government office to seek any service, it is seen that he has to accept a lot of delay. Common people have to bear such sufferings especially due to the negligence of government officials. Therefore, improvement is needed in this area so that people can get government services on time.

To improve the tourism areas. Our country is full of natural beauty. This country has tourist spots like Cox's Bazar which is the longest beach in the world. But due to not paying proper attention to the tourism sector, a very important sector is being neglected. If the tourism sector is improved then a lot of foreign tourists will come to visit our country and it will also have a positive effect on the government revenue.
