SEC S15W5: "My Country and Her Mineral Resources."
I don't think if there is any country that is not blessed by God through one thing or the other called mineral resources.Join me as I unveiled my country Nigeria's own as I attend to the questions.
Give us a brief introduction about your country.
Nigeria is a country located in the Western part of Africa continent. Nigeria have 36 states and the capital of Nigeria is Abuja. Nigeria have more than 100 languages but the major language is Igbo, hausa and Yoruba.
Nigeria is rich in cultures and traditions and is blessed with different types of mineral and resources. Nigeria is one of the richest country in the world so many investors come to Nigeria to do business. Nigerian people are hard working people they are not lazy.
And the color of our flag is green and white which represent rich in agriculture, fruitful and and growth.
What is/are the mineral resources your country is blessed with
Nigeria is a country blessed with many mineral resources. Nigeria is blessed in agriculture our land is fertile in planting most especially in the northern part of the country.
While in the south part of the country, there is enough crude oil there which we dug the ground to get oils. In the Eastern part we have enough palm fruit trees where we got palm oil and lime stone to produce cement and other relevant things.
Has these mineral resources been fully harnessed.
It has been fully harnessed it being control by the government and we have different companies like mobile oil company, total oil company, NNPC which is ( Nigeria national petroleum company) and so lots of them that dig the raw materials process it to the final consumption for citizens to buy and use.
Has the proceeds from these resources been used properly by your government for the welfare of her citizens...support your answer (Yes/No) with good points.
Yes. This resources have been very helpful and useful to us. But the problem is that our lenders are mis using the money got from this mineral resources.
When New government enter he will begin to carry the money all for him self and for the family. Making things difficult for the citizens. While the rich get Richer and the poor get poorer.
My country is blessed by God in such way that if not for the bad government we have in our country I don't think no body will suffer.

In Nigeria we are blessed with vast Mineral Resources, but our government has spoiled everything we have in the country. I wish you success in your entry.
