It's a brand new day. I welcome you again to my post. I hope my last write-up of daily lessons inspired you. I heard someone say, "I have not read it." Go now to my post and read it. In my last post, I talked about "are you really living?" I gave some instances and questions that will challenge your heart to make a difference and live an impactful life.

If you remember very well, I shared a story of a young teenager who was passionate about making a difference and contributed significantly to the lives of some vulnerable children in India by hiring a teacher to educate them. Her story is a story of significance, which I believe has motivated you, as it did for me, too.

Today, I'm going to be talking about something that will also change your life. I hope you will read this to the last line.

Obedience or Sacrifice

Do you know that most of what we do and experience today could have been avoided if we had paid attention to some things earlier? I want to actually open your eyes to some things that you don't take seriously. You see, today, some people ought not to be suffering some things if they or their parents have done what was expected of them in the past.

Although I believe nothing comes easy, and if it comes easy, it's either because someone else has worked for it. But I still believe that the intention of God for every human being is not to suffer. But do we suffer today? Definitely yes! Some things aren't right in our nation, our society, and our family, and that's why we keep suffering. Is there a way to avoid this? Perhaps there should be a way only if we are ready to pay the price.

You see, when I look at what causes suffering and the problems we are going through today, I discovered that one of the major things is disobedience. In fact, it could be first traced to our number one father and mother, Adam and Eve, in the garden of Eden. Well, you could have made the same mistake they made too if you were them. So, there's no point in keeping blaming them for the wrong they have already done.

But we all know what their disobedience caused and the consequences they suffered. Disobedience is a very great offense that may cause one to lose everything he has gathered in life. It may make you lose your throne and deny you the throne if you are supposed to have access to it.

That makes me remember a story about a king. He was selected and anointed when the elders requested a king. According to the story, the nation wanted to be like the other nations around them, which had kings reigning over them. They also requested a king because the children of someone who was their leader, consulting God on their behalf, were not walking according to the way of their father.

Although their request for a king displeased this man, their leader, he didn't have a choice but to appoint for them a king, having been told to do that after he consulted God. They both participated in the task of selecting the king. That was how this king was enthroned. Because so many people loved him and because of his charisma and qualities, he had an influence on people. He fought many battles and won.

One day, he was to go to a battle. They consulted God to know how to go to the battle just as they normally did. Their God didn't hide from them; he talked to them and gave them instructions on what they needed to do and what they should avoid. The instructions were very clear and direct. The king understood the instructions very well.

But the king didn't pay attention to what their God said. Rather, he decided to do what pleased him. He was to destroy all their enemies and not spare anyone, including the animals and their properties. But this king spared some people and animals. He brought the animals to their land and some of their enemies. When he was asked by the leader who anointed him king, he said he wanted to use the animals to sacrifice to their God.

This displeased this leader and said that "God has more delight in obedience than sacrifice". That mistake, or his disobedience, cost him his throne. Their God rejected him because he didn't listen to their instructions. They all suffered because of the king's disobedience before another king was anointed.

The truth is, obedience is far better than sacrifice. Some of the problems we face today may be the result of someone else's disobedience. That's why I have come to let you know why you need to pay attention to obeying the instructions of the leaders that God placed over us, the instructions of God. Remember, no sacrifice can replace obedience. No matter how much you sacrifice, if you aren't obedient, your sacrifice can't be acceptable.

If you are a parent reading this, be careful of the actions you take today. Remember, your actions today will reflect on your children tomorrow. So do that which is right, that which you will be proud of. And if you don't yet have a family, remember you will have one day. So, evaluate your steps and actions to know if you are doing what is right. Do not disobey God, because there are always consequences for disobedience.

Hi @msquaretk.

I have read to the end, since reading caught me from the first moment. I like how you write.

You are very right, if we disobey, sooner or later we will pay the price of the consequences. Then there will be no sacrifice that can lessen the seriousness of our actions.

I also believe, like you, that it is better to be obedient, instead of making sacrifices.

God is perfect and wise, and in his infinite wisdom he gives us the tools to be happy, we just have to follow his path.
Unfortunately we misuse free-will and this has led us to anarchy. That is why there are wars and death in the world.

God bless us.

Allow me to take an opportunity to invite you to an interesting initiative aiming to PROMOTE STEEM blockchain: https://steemit.com/hive-175254/@crypto.piotr/help-steemit-grow-my-personal-suggestion-on-how-to-bring-more-demand-for-steem-join-discussion

Big thanks.

Thank you @juanmonila for reading to the end. I am glad you find my write-up interesting. You are definitely right. Sometimes we misuse the gift of God and disobey his instructions. Thanks for inviting to "Promote Steem Blockchain". I have always been a promoter of steemit... I will look into it.

Thank once again.

Regards!

Thank you, friend.
