Hello everyone. It's a great day here. I hope it's at your end, too. If you are seeing this post, it is a privelege that you should give thanks for. It means you are still living and you can read. It is worth to give thanks for.

That being said, in my last post I talked about "Don't be Too Anxious". I gave some reasons why people are worried and I encouraged why you don't need to. Some of the things we are worried about are still achievable if we can only be patient and let time unfold.

Today, I am going to be talking about another important lesson which I believe will bless you. I have this confidence that you will have one or two things to pick from it. Hence, sit very well and read to the last line.

Don't Judge People By Their Look Look

One of the things we normally do as humans is to look at people and finally conclude what they are. We are too hurry to describe or "define" people based on how they look. It's very wrong to do that. It's important to know that the real definition of any man is not in how he looks like.

It will be totally wrong to conclude someone is this by how you view him, how he looks like. The real definition of man is more than what you can see with your physical eyes. So many people have fallen into errors by defining man based on the outward appearance.

There's a story of a man who knew well, has learned well about leadership and spirituality who almost made mistake of defining man by physical appearance. It's important to know that virtually everybody can make this mistake. That's why we need to be very careful.

His Master sent him to go look for another anointed servant of Him who would replace a rejected king. This man, being a spiritual head of a city, knew the dealings of his Master. As soon as he heard the voice of his Master, he heeded to the instructions.

Then he went in search of the young man who would become the king , that will take the place of the rejected king. He prepared all he needed for the journey knowing that it may take him some times before he would be back home. Then he left home for the journey.

Fortunately for him, he met the family he was sent to. He was happy because he needed not to be looking them where they would not be easily found. He called on the head, father of the family and discussed his mission with him. "I have come because I was sent to carry out an important task which will advance our city, our nation," he told the head of the house.

Hearing this good news from the servant of this Master, the head of the family was very happy. You know how someone who wasn't expecting good news hears one. He was very happy and received the servant with warm welcome.

The task given to this servant who knows the dealings of his Master was very simple: to anoint the chosen one, a son in the family who will be king of their nation. He knew the task and was very capable of delivering it. He has all the instrument he needed to do the task because he had already prepared well from home.

The head of this family had eight sons. A son was to be chosen out of these eight sons. The servant knew he was to choose one. So he called their father to call them out and line up. Of course, if they line up, he should be able to know who is to be the king.

They lined up as he requested. Then he began to see different chrisma. Those that have the features that kings do have, stamina, good stature and wonderful appearance. Then he commenced the task. He chosen the eldest son of the family, but he heard his Master's voice telling him that he's not the chosen.

He was amazed why his Master hasn't chosen the eldest. He agreed with his Master and didn't pour oil on him. "Well, if this is not the chosen, this second one, who is also beautiful with a very good stature and stamina should be the chosen one," he said to himself gently. So he wanted to anoint the second son, but his Master rebuked him. "I have not chosen him," his Master replied.

Seeing that his Master hasn't chosen that one, too, still surprised him. "Oh, why have I not seen this third son. He must be very wise because of his calmness, his choice of word, his ability to recognize me as the servant of the Master... He must have been the one my master chose to be the king. Oh, yes, he is the one," the servant said to himself. He was about to pour the oil on him when his Master rebuked him and said, "Neither did I choose him, too".

"Maybe it's the fourth son, then". He also thought the one his Master chose is the fourth son. But the master did not choose the fourth, too. He continued to pick them one after the other. His Master rejected all of them. When he got to the seventh son, and his Master said he didn't choose him, he was a bit angry that his Master hasn't chosen any of them.

Then he was wondering if he has gotten the description of the family he was sent to correctly. "Do you still have any other son? " he asked the head of this family. Then, the father said, "well, there's still one like this, the youngest of them all. He's in the bush taking care of animals."

The servant told the father to send for him. He ordered them not sit or leave until the son comes here. When the youngest son arrived, the servant didn't see him as someone who was the chosen one. His appearance didn't look like one who will become the king of the nation.

As he came, the master spoke to his servant. "That is the one I have chosen. I don't look at the physical appearance as you do. I look at the heart; the one who is prepared to lead the nation with integrity of heart and skillfulness of hand is the one I have chosen. I have chosen him. Take him and pour the oil on him."

See, the story should motivate you not to look at outward appearance. People aren't what they look like. The real definition of man is not how he looks like. He may not look like a rich person today, but that doesn't mean he won't be rich or not destined to be rich. He may not look like someone responsible today, but that doesn't mean he's not learning to be a responsible person.

Please, don't judge people by their appearance. It's a total error to put definition on people based on what you can see with your physical eyes. That servant didn't see the youngest as someone who can be king of the nation. Whereas, he was the only one prepared, fit to be the king. The master has chosen him because he has learned how to be trusted and reliable. Don't let appearance decieve you. Sometimes people aren't what they look like.

I hope you have learned from this lesson, you have picked one or two things. Hold it very tight. You can use the comment box to make contribution.
