DAILY LESSONS: Do You Have a Large Heart?

Hi, everyone.
It's a great day here. I hope it's at your end, too. It's been a long time since I shared with you my daily lessons. I have actually been busy with one or two things. That said, I'm going to be sharing something great with you.
If you remember, last time I shared something about checking up on people. I received a lot of testimonies about how the post helped people. You can check it out if you have not read it.
Do You Have a Large Heart?
One of the things I have been learning is how to have a large heart, a heart that will accommodate people. Many successful people understand this. They know how having a large heart helps their goals and objectives.
Two days ago, one of my friends shared a picture on Facebook. It was a picture we took together during our NSE induction. The picture he shared and the words he wrote made me remember how we started our friendship.
Facebook said we are doing five years of friendship, but it's actually more than five years that we have been together. So I saw the photo and remembered so many things we'd done together. In fact, as I am writing this, I can still remember some of the great moments with him.
The guy appreciated my brother and I. He said we had been true and real friends. But where am I actually going to? The guy has really been one of the few people I know with a great heart. He has a very large heart. When you meet people with a large heart, you will know them.
So, what are the characteristics or features of people with a large heart?
1. People with a large heart are patient.
One of the things you will see in people who have large heart is patience. They never run ahead of their time. Like the guy I told you about. He told me one day that he wanted to do something one day when he had not been working, but he remembered that it wasn't right. So he had to tell himself that he would wait. He would not do anything that would tarnish the image of his family. So, if you aren't patient, it may mean you don't have a large heart.
How patient are you with people? A person with a large heart is patient with people. The truth is, people may want to make you angry, but if you are the type of person with a large heart, you will be very patient with them. You should be able to accommodate people and be patient with them. Patience is a great virtue, and it's only people with a large heart that possess it.
2. People who have a large heart are listeners.
It's not enough to know how to talk; you must know how to listen, too. One of the characteristics of a great leader is the ability to listen to his followers. That's why great leaders have a large heart. If you possess a large heart, then you should be the type of person who listens to people.
When you see people who are interested in knowing what you are passing through and can listen attentively to you, you know they have a large heart. They are rare. That's why you should honor them if you have them. I remember Feyikemi guiding me through my Steemit achievement posts. I would always ask as many questions as possible. But he would always listen and reply to all.
He is someone who has not only the ability to talk but also listen to what you want to say. It's one of the qualities you should strive to have.
3. People who have a large heart believe in you.
If you don't know how to recognize someone with a large heart, just look for someone who believes in your dreams and vision. Once you find one, you have seen someone with a large heart. The guy I talked about earlier is one of the few people I know who believes in people.
Sometime ago, that guy was talking about my brother and I. The way he was talking about us was just too much. He is just someone who believes in people. Do you believe in people? Do you have a large heart? A large heart doesn't only accommodate people but also believes in them. It's one thing to welcome people; it's another thing to believe in them and their dreams. You see, most of the time, people don't need people who will give them money, but those who will believe in their dreams.
4. People who have a large heart uplift you.
I know someone who, if you share something with him, will always find a way to help you. He's always eager to lift people up. That's a person with a large heart. People who have a large heart will always look for ways to lift people up. They are only interested in your rise and not your downfall.
Those that do not mind going hungry because they want you fed are not common. They are people with a large heart. If you have these kinds of people, keep them. They know and believe that helping people to rise helps them, too. So they don't hesitate to help as many people as they can. Do you have a large heart, a heart that accommodates people, shares in their burden, listens to their challenges and trials, believes in them, and is ready and willing to help and lift them up?

Having a large heart or being a large hearted person is beneficial. I am glad you have those in your life that have a large heart. You are very lucky. Most people are not but it all starts with us. If we can, then people around us, at least majority will be moved to imitate us. Thanks for sharing

Very encouraging as everyone needs to be shown love and feel cared for.. But then, how could that be possible without having a big heart?
This is one trait everyone need to have. Make out time to listen to those around you, share there thoughts and not be a dictator.

Life is in phases, many don't know Angels walk on foot too. We have to understand that even though people may disappoint, God doesn't forget. He pays in due time and season. Don't help people because of what you can gain, but do it that the name of the Lord may be praised. Well done.
Yeah.. That's another characteristics of a person with a large heart. Don't help people because of what you want to gain, just help them because you want them to rise. But often, helping people helps us. Thank you for reading through my post.
