SEC15 WK1: "Life on Social Media"
INTRODUCTION
Social media is a company of good and bad.
Let me share one story.
In my city there is an estate call ewet housing where so many prominent men and women lives, so there is this popular barrister that lives there, according to the story, this barrister always beat his wife every day and these particular day, he beat his wife to a point she was bleeding, but upon that he was still beating the lady, so one content creator that lives close to them had to video them and brought it to social media, that was how we all got to know that such man exist, and the police arrested him and charge him to court.
Do social media is just an avenue for information but some people abuse it.
Another one
There is this lady, I was the one that put her on business because she was not doing well, but this is the same lady on social media that showcase herself to be doing well, her house is nothing to write home about, but on social media she is very rich.
Do you support that our daily lives should be put up on social media all the time?
Social media is like a witchcraft world, a place where you are been monitored, what people don't know is that both your friends and enemies are on social media.
Some people thinks that people on social media likes or care about them.
I gave up on social media before the end of last year, the only thing I post on social media is my church program and part of my business.
So supporting the ideas of exposing our daily lifes on social media is a no for me, we don't have to expose everything around us, though I know some people use it to create content, and some those proud type use social media to be famous without knowing that they are killing themselves in the name of trying to be social.
One day I was sitting with a group of people and a lady confess how she took a man photo on social media and went and use charm on the man.
So idea of showing up on social media is a know for me, is not good we exposed our lives
Have you ever experienced or seen any case where a person has the habit of showcasing his life on social media and the effects turned out well?
Yes there are lot of my Facebook friends that showcase their lives on social media, myself have got alot of experience, there is this particular day that I posted on Facebook, it was my birthday picture, so many people started calling me congratulating me that I look so beautiful .
One of my Facebook friend posted her new house, celebrating her achievement in one year of marriage, that she is now a house owner, so many people congratulate her and some even dash her money.
Do you think all the showcase on social media are true?
This is not a new thing, social media is a place of fake life, if you fall for social media, na you wan fall because only few people are real, the rest are fake.
Some of this people show case fake life just to find attention.
So I never even consider most of the things on social media are real.
Do you feel safe on steemit with your information? What can you say about steemit
Steemit is a social media that is in a different forms where every of our diary game are real life stories, anything fake is know here on the platform, if I read about your story, so when then won't you read about my story. So I feel very safe here than any other social media.
Other social media if they post their private life, bloggers will spread it, but here on steemit, no one cares about your private life and no one spread it.
So I feel very safe here with my information.

Truely not all things that we see on the social media are true, this is a lesson to some people because there are many that will do anything to reach up to the standards of living that they saw on the social media, and at some point they might have problems on the way.

In fact, social media has many effects in our daily lives. You have talked about how you beat up a lady here and the incident went viral on social media and the police arrested her. Exactly that is why they said anything that have an advantage also have disadvantage. People make use of social media to promote their business and also to share their exciting moments with friends. While others are faking misusing it. It's normal to use social media but it's should also look at on what we post because it's might affect us in the future. Thank you for your contribution.
