Bulk purchase and single purchase which one do you prefer?

Hello friends, it's been a long while I shared my thoughts on this platform, I've really been trying to balance a whole lot of things around me and that is why I've been passive here...but thanks to God I'm gradually gaining my stand and bouncing back and of course am doing my come back with this contest...
Let me quickly drop my two cents about the topic of discussion.

Explain Bulk purchase and single purchase in a layman understanding.

I'm glad the question says to explain the terms using a layman understanding, so I'm really going to be simple in my definition/explanation.

Bulk Purchase is a phrase with two words, bulk and purchase. The bulk there simply means "large quantity" while the purchase there means "acquisition or a buy". Putting both together means "buying in large quantities".

Now to Single Purchase. This simply means buying in bits or in pieces which is the direct opposite of the bulk Purchase we talked about earlier. I think I've been able to define and explain these terms in the best possible way I can. Let's move on friends.

Between these two which one is your favorite? And why.

Okay, now we are getting more personal with the topic... Now that you have asked which I prefer, I would love to answer by saying, I prefer the bulk purchase, well the reasons are not far fetched anyways. Whoever understand economics would really like to go for bulk Purchase.

My first reason is that it is cheaper when carefully analysed. Yea! I know some will be quick to discard this but it's the truth, You get to save more by buying in bulk than buying in bits because the cost of buying in bits is more expensive and benefits the sellers more than the buyer.

A seller will capitalize on your inability to buy in bulk to sell to you in bits at a more expensive rate and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Most sellers in our neighborhood survive by selling in bits anyways.

Another reason why I would like to purchase in bulk is the comfort and convenience it gives because you don't rush out every moment to go get every bit of what you need around the house. Once you buy in bulk, you can be rest assured that it will last you for a period.

The last reason I would love to give is funny but true... An important point that some of us are not ready to discuss and here it is... Buying in bulk saves you from "borrow borrow", lols. Permit me to use that expression, we Nigerians understand that when you stress a particular word twice, you're trying to drive home a serious point.

If you're addicted to buying in bits, you might end up becoming a "borrow borrow" person because when you run out of certain things, the first thing that comes to your mind if you lack self respect and dignity is to check your neighborhood next door if he or she has what you need.

You might think you're enjoying the benefit of having a neighbor but the truth is you are gradually downgrading yourselves before your neighbor. Anyways I mean to say, nobody likes any one who borrows too much.

Which of these two can you advise someone to carry out ?

I will always recommend buying in bulk, but how can I convince you when I'm also in the very economic mess that the country is in... It seems hard these days because inflation is now the order of the day.

So if you're the type that buys in bits like I do most times, I won't really blame you, you have the right mindset and know what is really good but then you're limited by the resources at your disposal. I sincerely share in your pain.
I believe someday we will be able to make these kinds of purchases and enjoy the comfort and convenience it brings.

Some people believe bulk purchase is only for the rich while single purchase is for average person what is your take ?

Lols, well that's some stereotypic view to this topic, there are some bulk Purchases you can do that do not even involve a lot of money. Household Items like seasonings and ingredients won't even make you break banks.

I don't really know why that seasoning example came to mind at this point but I can remember that a big sachet of Terra seasoning cube that I bought for about a month ago is still remaining in my kitchen, if I had been buying in bit, I would have spent more than is necessary over a period of time.

I also want to add that it's about mindset, some people are just so addicted to the single purchase thing that they see no need to stretch to make bulk purchases that would serve them even better.

You can tell by the way they spend and prioritize needs...that even when they have more than enough to buy in bulk they still go and make single purchases. So you see. We need to first have that mindset before we conclude if it's just something the rich love to do or something the poor really wish to do.

Conclusion

I will love to conclude by saying that bulk purchases are far more better than single purchases on every ground especially for those that want to commercialize these purchases. I believe with these few points of mine, I have been able to convince you and not to confuse you that bulk purchases are better than single purchase... Over to you, panel of judges...Hahahahahahahah😁
