My Neighborhood Watch #61 - Reporting Events Around us

Greetings to the entire members of this community. I'm happy to share the latest happening in my locality.

As life is concerned, activities continue to showcase its self. While some are good news, some are bad news! However, people do things sometimes out of ignorance and sometimes based on the condition they found their self in.

A thief was caught at noon

Young boys don't want hard labor these days but sharp and soft work to succeed! How can a boy of 19 years break into someone's house at around 4:30pm while it's still day?

His intention was to steal and run but unfortunately for him, he was caught by a little girl of about 10 years old. According to the little girl in her statement, she had claimed to know the owner of the broken house but when she came to check for her friend, she discovered a strange face as the door was broken and the house scattered.

Immediately she saw this, she bost into alarm 🚨 and all the Tenants ran outside while the thief could not come out but sought an alternative by breaking into the ceiling.

He was running on top of the roof from one room to another and this caused him to have serious injuries as well as spoiling many people's ceilings.

He was finally caught and brought down while all the guys around came for his correction. While he was been handled by strong hands, a certain man came and told all to cease biting him as such be handed over to the Police.

His reason was if peradventure something serious now happened to him, the Police would come for mass arrest. He also explained that he was a victim of a crime like this as he slapped the suspect, fainted and all those bitting the suspect ran away as the police came and arrested him.

His explanation makes us hand over the boy to the police officer who was called to handle the situation at hand.

This took place in Ikom Local government area of Cross River state. When a matter of such nature takes place in my area, it's difficult to take a snapshot because your phone might be collected on the spot.

What has caused that young boy this shame is the lake of having something to do that can put food on his table following the current state of the country. I believe if he's provided what to help himself, such attitude will be thrown away.
