Greetings to all members of this great community. I'm happy we are all doing well. Today I will be talking about "Growing up in a Rural or Urban Area"

We all have experienced life in either rural or urban areas depending where you were born and brought up. I will discuss this topic in detail following the contest guide below:

Differentiate between urban and rural areas stating three major features

S/NUrban AreaRural Area
1In Urban areas, we have good roads without potholes. The road is clear without a bush around. In the Rural areas, we have bad roads, untare roads with bush all around.
2In the Urban areas we have constant electricity. Note, before light will be taken there must be something that has to be worked on! Notification will be sent across. In the Rural areas, we are used to no NEPA light. They can decide to give us light after two months for just one or two days. Note, for these two days, the light won't be constant and we the rural dwellers will still be happy.
3Improve social amenitiesoutdated social amenities (No social amenities).

Which area did you grow up and why?

I grew up in the Rural area. This is where I was born and brought up by my parents. The reason is, that the Ikom local government area of Cross River State is where my parents dwell and Carter for their daily bread. As you can see in the picture above, I had to come down to my rural area to take that picture with my mom

If you were told to go to the area you didn't grow up in, will you?

My answer is yes. Going to areas you didn't grow up in is a great blessing. This will help to educate you, make you see new life, bring you new friends, and even help you to start thinking smart.

The Nigerian government has made it mandatory that corps members should go out of their comfort zones of their place of birth for people to adopt new lifestyles and also know what is going on around the world.

Indeed I had not gotten the opportunity to stay outside my birth local government for even a month since I was born. So the privilege of going to school and serving the government gave me that grace to experience life outside my place of birth and helped me to create good relationships.

What things are there in the area you grew up from that aren't in the other?

This is the local area where I grew up. You can see how sand is been loaded and this is a natural blessing to the dwellers of Ikom people.

When it's rainy, the water will cover the band of the river, and once it's dry season, it dries up. People of this land make cool money and it also helps those who intend to build their house.

What they do here is wait for dry seasons to come, then settle the community with what they have before going to the river to pack the sand.

We also have fresh palm wine that is tarp early in the morning in the Rural area. This palm wine is good for health especially the one that has not been mixed with water. Some thing of this nature is difficult to see in the Urban areas.

In conclusion, growing up in rural areas will help you to live a common life and take things easily. At this point, go to the Urban areas to experience new life, its for your upgrade.

Many people had lived in their grown-up area without going out to experience a lifestyle either in Urban or Rural areas.

Please try and make a move as this is part of your education. Thanks for reading through my blog post.

I'm using this opportunity to invite @abdullahw2 and @cruzamilcar63 to join this contest.

10% payout is set to @steem4nigeria.

You’ve written well about Urban and Rural areas and your experience while growing up.
Process of growth is funny at times, who would have thought that at some stage in life, this scheme called NYSC will take someone to another environment where you have no choice but to dwell and adapt to things there.

Success in the contest!

Thanks for this great insight.

Saludos amigo.
Buen cuadro comparativo de ambas zonas, la rural y la urbana. Ambas tienen sus grandes ventajas y desventajas.

Tu punto de vista es bueno, sobre ir al lugar en donde no naciste.

Éxitos!

Thanks
